My inbox shows 99+ unread messages and if I hover my cursor over the word Inbox, it says there are over 194 unread messages. I know this cannot be true. Same thing with my Sent objects folder. It is saying 68 unread, but if I hover over it states there is a total of 35,278 sent messages. This has been interesting because this number has been steadily increasing as this problem has been going on. Last week I think it said I had 20-some thousand sent messages and the week before that 10,000. So for some reason it keeps adding additional messages to the sent folder even though I have only sent a handful of messages over that time. I'd be surprised if I had more than a couple hundred sent messages originally in that folder. Re: Can't get email The issue has not been resolved for me. I just attempted to sign into webmail and received the 127.0.0.1 error. I am also still not able to receive email on my mobile devices and as well as still having issues with the mail program on my computer. Re: Can't get email Well...8/5 has pretty much come and gone and still having issues. First I was told the fix would be 8/3/17, then a post in this thread said 8/4/17, then another post says it's delayed again to 8/5/17, but still not fixed. Unfortunately, I have to say I'm not the least bit surprised. A couple days away from it being a full month of having issues. Unacceptable. Re: Can't get email Is the fix still scheduled for completion today (8/5/17)? Re: Can't get email As stated in a previous post, I've been having this issue for over 3 weeks now. When I spoke to Tier 2 support last weekend I was told that a fix was scheduled for today (Aug 3rd) and I see a post above stating a fix by tomorrow (Aug 4th). Now does Becky's latest post mean that Cox no longer has an anticipated date for the fix? Re: Can't get email I've been having the same issue for 2 weeks now.If I'm persistent enough and keep refreshing I can sometimes get to my my inbox. Ihave a support ticket opened with Cox. There appears to be a number of people with this same issue as my ticket was added to the group. Very frustrating. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any end in sight and no updates from Cox. Re: Cannot receive emails via IMAP on Mac Mini's Mail (Apple Mail) First, either I missed it or Cox did a poor job of announcing they had switched to IMAP email because I just found out the other day that it is now available. In a world where most of us are getting email on multiple devices having IMAP is a welcome addition. Second, you can add me to the list of people who have had issues with Apple Mail and not receiving Cox IMAP email. I have been using Outlook for years and was hesitant to make the switch, but I figured with IMAP it would be easier to give a new mail program a chance. Same issues for me though, mail is received when Apple Mail is first opened or when I go offline and back online. Sometimes mail will come through after a longer period of time it seems, but most of the time it is not receiving effectively. Although I did set up Cox IMAP in Outlook as well, I have not used it enough to see if that is having any issues as well. Hopefully this can get solved. I am using the new OS X 10.9 and Apple Mail 7.0 and am located in Arizona.
