ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: All outgoing email fails from web and Iphone The Cox email "Team" got back to us and said they "fixed" the problem with sending emails from webmail and the iPhone. We didn't change any settings on the iPhone now all is working fine. They didn't say what their solution was and Cox supported didn't either. Thanks all for your suggestions. All outgoing email fails from web and Iphone Over 2 days ago my Cox webmail has been broken. I can login and get incoming mail, however I get and error message and a fail to send when I try to send an email or reply to an email. Upon call Cox support who bumped me up to second tier support, they said it was a "Filtering" problem that they have seen before and would notify the Email "Team" to resolve the issue. Still no response. Attached are screen shots from Web and Iphone showing the messages. I will send the to the cox support email so they can pass them on to the email "Team". Message from Webmail on sending an email: Message from Iphone when setting the proper (yes checked it 100's of times) password: And finally the message I get when I try to send a message (Inbox working fine): SolvedRe: Missing inbox emails How would you set up it up? Is that a Webmail setting? Go to Settings (Settings wheel icon) -> All Settings ->INBOX->Scroll down to Advanced Settings->At bottom add gmail account as a BCC Re: Missing inbox emails Lost my INBOX a few months ago also. In addition to forwarding all incoming messages to your gmail backup account, set up an automatic CC to that gmail account so that any new messages you create or respond to will also go to the gmail backup. NEVER again with webmail leaving me high and dry with no recourse. Re: Missing inbox emails This has happened way too many times on this forum alone. Always the same answer after much investigating. "We can't retreive any old messages for you". https://forums.cox.com/discussions/internet/beware-%F0%9F%98%A5---webmail-deleted-my-inbox/147691 Tom Re: Refresh required after email deletion Its not he message count on the folder, the deleted emails remain in the main body and are dimmed but not removed from the main body. Yes you can go back and forth between folders and the main Inbox will be refreshed. The last 2 days the problem has disappeared and the deleted emails are immediately removed from the main body. Thanks for your input on this and I hope to not revisit again, I appreciate your input on the forum. Re: Refresh required after email deletion A minor issue? Please read the full description (and I have submitted it to Cox as a bug and they know about it), it not about a simple number next to folder. Your workaround of manually going back and forth to reset stuff is a cop out for the developers. Have them fix properly. BTW I have been active in the forums for years and have been a Webmail user for 20 plus years..... Re: Refresh required after email deletion I hear ya.....what are the paying the developers in India.....? Re: Refresh required after email deletion Webmail not refreshing and not removing deleted emails will work fine one day and then stop working the next......very frustrating. I send you my address and the URL of this thread.....Please run this up the bug list so the developers no about it. (again) Re: Beware 😥 - Webmail deleted my Inbox STARTING AT STEP 1 ..... So a week goes by after contacting Cox support. They said they escalated it a week ago. I checked with them today and support says no one escalated it and nothing has been done. All I want is to restore my email to before my 10,000+ emails were deleted.
