ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsChannel changes using Cox Advanced TV After a period of time, maybe two hours, channel automatically changes to Cox Channel 7 (we're in Arizona) when on a channel only available using Advanced service (formerly Digital service). This is annoying because we are using a premium service requiring the monthly rental of the cable box. I have called technical support, most techs answering the call don't know this happens and think that we did something. I know this is real, not imagined. Several techs do know this is how the service is programmed. It used to change to a "DOS-like message screen" saying to press any button on the remote. Why can't Cox just allow the customer to watch a channel for however long they prefer to watch the channel?
