Cannot see any "forward as attachment" option in the updated webmail interface. I guess I can be happy I don't click links in email messages. If companies like Cox were serious about preventative security through reporting and pursuing phishing attempts, customers wouldn't be confronted by changed interfaces and deal with frustrating errors when trying to utilize a system that amounts to little more than a placebo button. The bad players on phishing expeditions exist outside the reach of those with the authority to act- assuming such parties even exist. Emails deleted. Re: Attempts to phish Cox email Nope. I'm using my Cox email... through my Cox router. Re: Attempts to phish Cox email Thank you for responding. No can do. Immediate error in reply: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <lsanders62@cox.net> message rejected. Refer to Error Codes section at https://www.cox.com/residential/support/email-error-codes.html for more information. AUP#CXSNDR. Please check the message and try again. Send email without any attachments with no problem. Attempts to phish Cox email Hello. I received two phishing emails claiming to be from Cox. Where can I forward them to? Thank you. Re: Cannot disable nomorobo Actually disabling then reenabling "Nomorobo/Simultaneous Ring" (click it twice) opens a submenu where one is then able to disable "Nomorobo"- once saved the parent toggle (Nomorobo/Simultaneous Ring)reverts to "off". The interface is somewhat counterintuitive and can be a frustrating time waster because simply trying to toggle "Nomorobo/Simultaneous Ring" off does nothing apart from instigatingdiscussions like this one. I believe the feature has prevented a good number of calls from ringing my phone but I suspect it has some unwanted effects on some needed automated calls. Cannot disable nomorobo I suspect this feature is responsible for mytwo-part authentication calls being disconnected when trying to access accounts. I go into phone tools and click it to shut off, but when I log back in it always is on. Every otherchange I make is stored but this feature will not shut off. Re: Notifications bell Beyond crummy concept and design. Notifications bell Still an issue. Cannot dismiss the number despite having read the "important" notifications. Annoying- and the inattention to what strikes me as likely being a simple fix- equally so. Re: is pop.cox.net out Apparently he server is down. Interesting how the software on my computer prompts to mess around with passwords and such. Re: How do I dismiss notification center alerts (red number) on my account page? Thanks. It cheapens thenotification thing though. If I'm permanently seeing an eye-catching number that can never be dismissed to nothing, then new notifications are not going to catch my notice at all. Clicking the bell produces a drop-down with three items- none of which can be dismissed individually by clicking an "x" and there's nothing to click that enables me to clear the whole list. I suppose I should concentrate on the beneficial and limitlessly useful things they've done in setting up the customer pages- like naming the robo-assistant "Oliver SM ". Gosh, Ican barely contain myself from gushing on how helpful that is.
