Tornados all over Kansas and Nebraska and the weather channel had a show on can you survive a snow storm or being burried in snow. LOCAL NEWS will not cut it, people travel, need to know about other areas like Kansas. Local news did not have any coverage as it was out side of their DMA area. Weather Nation had 24x7 coverage and no History TV shows. I can watch it free online but would rather watch on my TV as I pay for Cable TV and its a common Cable TV channel. Wanted to check the weather and the WEATHER CHANNEL is showing some kind of show about bad weather history. Why is Cox the only major provider NOT carrying the Weather Nation Channel or something like it? Everyone else has it, even Direct TV Cox used to have a separate Weather scan channel for locals. Weather Nation ONLY shows the weather, not history shows. I heat it is free to carry as they make their money with TV Ad so it would not cost Cox anything to add it. Please reply if you agree it should be added to the basic package (since its free to carry) Check out the Weather N web site they have a live streaming feed of it, maybe Cox could add it to the DVR box like they added Netflix? It has been a year , issue is happening again Same error V205 Last time the issue was on Cox Cables end and they needed to reboot the server and reload the On Demand list. This time it looks to be corrupted the list only shows 2 channels from each Aplhabet Range. The Error message says called Cox. Tivo Tech support said this is a Cox issue. Could we please get Cox to do the same fix they did a year ago? I think you rebooted the server and forced the On Demand Catalog to re Synch. Many are having this issue. It is my hope that Tier 3 will call me or follow up on Ticket #418685 We really need to find the root cause of this. I suspect replication happens between the two companies every 2 weeks and we will just see issues again in Two week on a Thursday (so that would be around March 16th). Its either showswon't play as the links are wrong ,hence the error messages or folders just are gone. One thing to noteduring the missing folder issue , I could still do a search on a movie name and still watch on demand (say an HBO movie), this tells me issues with the pointer files or links (think of them as Web URL links or favs). Just missing folders almost like the On Demand Link or content replication failed. I just called into the Success Department like they asked me to when we had issues 2 weeks ago. Ticket opened is #418685 sending to Tier 3 which could take a few days and they don't work weekends. If anyone on this Cox Teams knows who they contacted last time maybe they can push a button or restart what ever service this did last time to fix this assuming it is even on the Cox side. It could be something they need to call tivo to do and have them restart or synch something. I would try the typical suggestions. In this order 1. Force a Tivo connection 2. once done, un plug power from cable modem to reset all connections 4. Plug back in what for it to come up and work 5. Do a restart of the Main Tivo using the Help Screen. RESTART 6. Once up do an OTHER Tivo connection to get the On Demand updates Re: Cox On Demand is down for all Tivo Users Nation wide I think I got it figured out. The bad news is it makes Cox look bad as the message always says call Cox, think of all the customers out there with Tivo trying on Demand and thinking it is a Cox issue. Looking at the error codes V205)w/ the code408- Content link TiVo has is not currently available on the Cox server, generally no resolution. Content may have expired. This also can happen during the period, on the 4th day, when the content transitions from all commercials to limited commercials. We see this means the content is not there. No matter how many times you try, it will not play. The pattern of this happening every Two weeks is real, Cox is updating content. For Example: Vampire Diaries, Episode 809 in SD does not play, it is notthere anymore, but Episode 809 in HD does play. Further looking at the SDvas HD folders for this show, the HD one has less episodes, it must of updated, the SD one has more. CONCLUSION Either Cox is not sending Tivo the updated list of the new On Demand Content, hence error V205 with 408 OR Tivo isgetting the updated list but is not updating the Tivos. Tivo has not beenresponsive on this issue, instead they say call Cox, this could be a Tivo issue, but wereally need Cox Cables help here as they have the best customer service around, maybe Cox and reach out to their contacts at Tivo and see if they can Synch the content list while verifying that they are in fact sending the current list over please Re: Cox On Demand is down for all Tivo Users Nation wide Really Bad News Just like Two Weeks ago today Saturday, it is getting worse and worse V205 with error 408 for most shows now, trying 5 times does not help. Rebooting the Cable Modem and the Tivo Box does not help. Same issue as Two weeks ago today. A few shows do work, but looking at the issue Two weeks ago by Sunday or Monday none will work. Sounds like a software issue or the Servers somewhere just need rebooted. Key thing about the weekend is I bet that is the peak load for Cox on Demand. Is this a capacity issue or server over load either on Tivos end or Cox and Authentication???
