I know that isn't true since it did have all of the stations shortly after installation. I'd appreciate working with someone at Cox that is willing to resolve this issue. This is not acceptable. Re: One TV doesn't get all channels Still trying to get resolution via email (I don't have time to sit on the phone with Cox). Will post here if/when it is resolved. Re: One TV doesn't get all channels I tried the suggestion for you to remove power but that didn't work. I'm sending the email. One TV doesn't get all channels We have 2 TVs with cable boxes. The "main" TV gets all of the channels we paid for. The secondary TV used to get all the channels too but within the last week has dropped some of the channels. When I enter a channel it used to have, it doesn't go to that channel. Re: Low Download Speed In our case, it is buried coming into the house. The "boxes" on the outside of the house have replaced a couple of times because of ongoing issues with internet over the last 15 years. When those boxes get replaced, there seems to be temporary improvement. The external resetting that has occurred also temporarily improves the signal. Re: Low Download Speed Our "expert" suggested the following: No nearby electronic devices to the modem/router. The more devices using the wifi network the slower it will get. The selected security mode makes a difference. Two of the modes are spec'd to be no faster than 54 Mbps. Removing other electronic devices from the immediate area of the modem/router did help. Near the router the wifi speed is now ~45 Mbps. We're going to try some powerline adapters to allow devices to have a wired connection (the location of the modem/router recommended by Cox's tech support makes any wired connections impossible). Will post results here. Re: Low Download Speed What is the best number to call to quickly and easily schedule a tech support visit? Re: Low Download Speed As far as I can tell, wireless seems to be maxed out at ~40 Mbps. Selecting 802.11n did help increase wireless to ~40 Mbps. Increasing the speed to the modem has no effect. We're going to check with someone we know that is knowledgeable about this. I'll post here since there seems to be others that are discovering the same issue. Re: Low Download Speed Got 100 Mbps with wired connection. Immediately did wireless test and got 40 Mbps. The laptop was sitting a few inches from the modem/router for the wireless test. I realize there will be a drop between wired and wireless but should it be that much? Does Cox offer a cable modem/router that does a better job of utilizing the wired input for wireless? Re: Low Download Speed We have tested using laptops and iPad with some tests near the cable modem/router with consistent results (< 30 Mbps). We realized a wired connection would be an interesting test and will post those results here shortly.
