If I refresh it about a dozen times it WILL finally connect. I have Cox at home and at work and it acts the same at both sites. It also happens on ALL PCs and iPhones at both sites. I've reset the routers and modems at both places. I can connect to a HideMe VPN and the connections are perfect. While on the VPN it renders all the time. I have also posted on Reddit.com and have had several replies from people in NW Arkansas, both Bella Vista and Rogers stating they are having the same issues. So, the problem is not with our home systems but seems to be Cox systems. So, how do we get this fixed? Can't record programs on the History Channel Whenever I try and record a program on the History channel I end up getting a recording of 3 minutes. I try and record American Pickers - it halts at 3 minutes. Pawn Stars - 3 minutes. I've deleted and re-added each program several times to the series manager. Even tried individual separate programs. It always always turns out to halt after 3 minutes. .The recording itself is 3 minutes total, so it's not recording the show for the entire time and cutting out after 3 minutes. Anyone got a clue? Re: Why do you have to have a 5Gb Network Card to reach 100mbs in the Premier with Powerboost Package All I know is that every computer I have has a 1GB NIC and I commonly get way over 100MB download speeds with my premier Cox connection. AFAIK there is no such thing as a 5GB NIC, the next jump after 1GB is 10GB. So something is wrong with the information. Re: Why do you have to have a 5Gb Network Card to reach 100mbs in the Premier with Powerboost Package I think you heard incorrectly, or the tech used the wrong phrase. What you need is a 5Ghz wireless network card, not a 5Gb card. The reason is that the older 2.4Gz cards that used 802.11 b only goes to 11Mb and g only goes to 54Mb, the newer 5Gz and 802.11 N and a-c can support higher speeds up to and above higher than 54Gb. So if you want higher than 54Mb you will have to use a wifi adapter that is 5Ghz along with a wireless AP / router that supports the higher standards. Re: Data cap recently doubled? >Premier was previously 300 GBs per month, not 350 Mine had showed 350, at least for the last year+ I've been a Cox customer. Re: Data cap recently doubled? "Looks like Ultimate is now a 2 TB monthly plan compared to the 400 GB it was prior. Excellent news!" Wow, that's ALMOST fair for the money :) It might actually make switching up a tier worth it. Re: Data cap recently doubled? So, can I TRUST what the meter says even though I have not heard about an increase and assume it actually IS 700GB? I don't want to go hog wild and then end up getting a nastygram at the end of the month. Data cap recently doubled? I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the data usage meter that it now shows my data cap as a premier customer is now 700GB up from 350. I didn't see any announcements and just wanted to check to make sure it wasn't some sort of bug in the meter app. So was the data cap recently doubled? usage meter down? For the past few days the usage meter has been offline - at least from NW Arkansas. Is there any word on when this will be back online? BTW: Thanks for the recent improvements I notice that the CC button now actually toggles closed captioning again, for a long time it would do nothing for the cable box, you had to enter into the settings to manually turn it on and off. We the hearing impaired thank you!
