I am certain that Cox is aware that there are large outstanding issues, but the current "fix" seems to be to send a tech out. My supposition is that they have jammed too many people onto the same node after the hurricane to restore some semblance of service. Our service can work fine for a while with normal speeds, but the declines are almost always around times when you would expect heavy usage (after work, evening, first thing in the morning). Re: Cox services Just curious - are you in Metairie, LA? I have been having similar issues since service was restored after Hurricane Ida. Upload speeds periodically drop to nearly 0. I have checked the modem, and the levels (upstream and downstream) as well as the SNR always look good. Re: Cox services Just curious - are you in Metairie, LA? Refer Cox Support to this thread. I am having this same exact issue since 4/24 (CXDNS error due to no reverse DNS). This worked up until 4/24. Many external IP addresses do not have reverse DNS entries. Shame on Cox for the lack of notice of these changes AND the lack of response. Re: iPhone emails once again will not send through Cox I am having the same issue, and it just cropped up between yesterday and today. Re: Bad Email Certificate? Bzzt - try again. I am already running TLS 1.2, and this started happening today out of the blue. Re: Bad Email Certificate? I have the same issue. Cox? Re: A new batch of spam is arriving. It is maddening, isn't it? And no one from Cox will take ownership of this enormous problem that was created when they outsourced the email platform. Re: New folders added to webmail... It happened to me as well, so I'm sure it's not an isolated incident. IMAP hosted at Rackspace? I've posted before in the forum about the recent problems with IMAP service. At one point, the IMAP servers had been moved to Rackspace. Then they were back at Cox addresses. This morning, I had the dreaded username/password popup in Outlook. On a hunch, I decided to check the current IP address for imap.cox.net, which is 146.20.147.247. That address is at Rackspace. Cox - what is going on with IMAP? And don't you think you should let your customers know that you've moved their email off of Cox servers?
