Update on outage is posted here. http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/internet_forum/f/5/t/979.aspx Re: CBS/CW Until that happens you can watch some of the programs you may have missed at the respective station's website. Re: Sound Dropouts With no video drop out that is really odd. If you have not already I would completely remove your HDMI cable from both your TV and your Cable box. Several different reasons this would effect both TVs but most common would be a power issue within the home caused the handshaking between the HDMI and the TVs to have an issue. Also if your boxes lost power when they should not have it has been know to reset your settings. If your audio settings on the box have been set to something that your system does not support it could cause any number of issues. However, You are correct that the most common issue would be some kind of signal issue with the wireing in the home all the way to something at the head off at cox. So before you give them a call check all connections you have. I would also look for any connection that you can reach that are close to where the drop comes in your home. Since this is effecting both TVs it would reason that the problem is with a shared connection. That is all that comes to mind that you can try with out calling Cox. Re: DVR recording extra 30 minutes & Remote Problems with Brand new box I would cancel and reset any recording that has recorded extra time in the past. Even if it does not do it every time. To be safe you could cancel and reset all your recordings but if it has not messed up yet it may just be making more work for yourself. On demand is just a big Video server. So there can only really be two different problems. Either the server is bad and that is why you are having the issue. If that was the case then all other customers would also be having an issue with on demand. Issue that effect that many people are noticed faster, they cannot always be fixed right away but Cox would know they have an issue and be able to tell you they where working on it. So that leaves the only other issue of a signal issue. That could be any where in the line from the connection on your box all the way to the head end. The farther away from your house the problem gets the more it would be an area issue. So this brings us back to the last point that the more people it effects the easier it is to notice that it is a larger issue and start addressing it. If you give me a description of your issue I may be able to give you some guidance on what could cause it and what kind of service to request from Cox. Re: DVR recording extra 30 minutes & Remote Problems with Brand new box To deal with your recording issue I would cancel all of your recordings that are recording extra time. You will not have to delete any recorded shows you have not watched. Then set them back up to record. The On demand issue is normally signal related so you would want to check your connections as best you can just to be sure. Even if you have in the past, don’t let your pride prevent you from checking them again. What I would suggest is to unhook all your cable connections that you can get to behind your TV completely then hook them all back up nice and hand tight any tighter then that can sometimes damage the ends of the connections and make the problem worst. Re: 3d98 I checked with my local technical support and was advised that they know about it and other then being annoying it should not affect my service at all. So leaving it as is is just fine until they get the patch pushed out that will stop it for good. Re: Cluster channels to package Some of it is part of the deal with the channel providers. Also from looking at my guide Cox tries to keep like minded shows together. So as an example animal planet would be near the discovery channel, but they are offered on different levels. Re: Outage in 06035? Sorry we are customers here so we will not know :( Also I do know that normally service issues are smaller then a whole zip code so It is unlikely that is enough info for someone from cox to check on it for you. If you think you may be in an outage the best bet would be to call in to check. Sorry wish I could have been more help. Re: CMT channel 746 The tiling and skipping audio is normally a signal issue. You would want to check connections at your cable box and the wall outlet to make sure they are hand tight if they are and you are still having the issue then you will need a tech to come out. Re: wrong show recorded That is supper odd. Just to prevent an issue down the road try to record two things again at the same time to see if it does the same thing. If it does Then one of the tuners in the box may be messing up.
