I have pulled the power cord and reconnected after a few minutes. I too would like to blame the remote, but I'm more convinced that it might be the main box instead. I suggest that because I can easily pair the remote with the other 3 boxes in about 10 seconds. And the fact that we have the same issues with a second remote on the main box. Your thoughts? XR15 Remote Problems We've been having issues with the XR15 voice remote on our main Contour box (Cisco 9865HDC). Every few hours the remote signal is not sent to the box -- green light then red light on the remote. We have to wait 30 to 60 seconds and then we can use the remote normally again. At least until the next time that it won't transmit. This happens at least a couple of times a day. This only happens on the main box. We've never had a problem with the other 3 boxes -- 1 mini coax box (XiD-P) and 2 wireless boxes (Xi6-A). All of the remotes have been supplied with fresh batteries to eliminate that as a cause. In trying to remedy the remote lag, we unpaired one of the remotes. Now trying to get it paired again has proved challenging. The remote pairs just fine with the box. But then trying to pair with the TV, we just get a message that says "Pairing Remote" with 3 moving dots. It stays this way for several minutes and then returns to the Contour settings screen. Since we can't get past the step of pairing to the TV, we then cannot get to the step of pairing to the audio receiver. We realize that we can manually connect the remote to the audio receiver to control volume and power, but then the remote will not control power to the TV. Which would defeat the purpose of having a home theater set up. We had never had an issue pairing a remote previously, but it's been many months since we've needed to do so. Also, the devices we are trying to pair to have always been successfully linked -- a Sharp TV and a Denon receiver. No new devices have been introduced. So now we have two problems that we are trying to correct ... 1) how to eliminate the lag with the XR15 remote transmission 2) how to complete all 3 steps of the remote pairing process to connect to the box, the TV and the audio receiver. Thanks to anyone who can provide some insightful feedback. No Broadcast Why is NBC Sports Live Extra -- channel 1440, OKC -- not currently broadcasting a scheduled event? Re: Email via Outlook and Droid Stopped Working This is absolutely an issue on Cox's end. I switched my phone account from IMAP to POP just so I could receive and retain email. I am still receiving duplicate emails -- some of them have arrived 2-3 days after I received the original email. I have done everything to troubleshoot this on my end -- it is not a PC issue, it is not an issue with anti-virus or other detection software, it is not a settings issue. I've done safe boot, selective startup, etc. etc. etc. This problem started a week ago for multiple users on this forum and elsewhere. Cox needs to address it. Re: Email via Outlook and Droid Stopped Working Thanks Chris. I've been using POP on my desktop and IMAP on my phone for the past 3+ years without issue. I find it much easier to organize folders and archive using the POP account. And since I only need access to recent messages on my phone, IMAP works just fine. Has there been some server side change in the past 72 hours that would have caused my set up to function differently. My POP setting has always been to leave messages on the server for 2 weeks. Webmail has been ignoring that setting the since Sunday and now removes messages as soon as they are read. I have rechecked all settings on all devices and see nothing on my end that would cause this. Re: Email via Outlook and Droid Stopped Working Derrick -- I see only unread messages in Webmail. Once I read them on apparently any device, they are no longer displayed in Webmail. This is the same issue I have with the IMAP account on my phone. And my pop account via Outlook is once again receiving duplicate messages. It's not every message, but probably 6 or 8 duplicated today. This happened today both on my home account (cox.net address) and my work account (coxinet.net address). Allen -- thanks for the port info. Re: Email via Outlook and Droid Stopped Working Re: Email via Outlook and Droid Stopped Working The POP account via Outlook seems to be working okay now -- only one email received at a time. The IMAP account on my phone is also now receiving messages. However, as soon as I read the message, it disappears from my inbox. The inbox won't show any history of messages regardless of what setting changes I make. Re: Email via Outlook and Droid Stopped Working Having similar issues. Duplicate copies of email are being received in Outlook on desktop PC set up as POP. No email being received on android phone set up as IMAP. No new messages appear in mail account on cox.net. All mail accounts were working fine yesterday. Problem started last night or early this morning. This is definitely not a device issue. Re: Why are you hacking my service? Health Edge ... That was funny.
