All is well now.😊 Some messages on server not coming into Thunderbird When I open my Thunderbird client I find that not all of the messages on the server are downloaded What causes this and is there a fix. Thanks Delete single recording from series I am recording the Women's World Cup games but only want to save the US Women's matches. How can I delete unwanted recordings in the series? Re: Volume Control Client Thanks for the disappointing answer. I pretty much figured out that was the case. Is this something built into the hardware/firmware or can it be flagged as a bug for a number of non-traditional users that can be fixed? Re: Shutdown Contour 2 Client. Thank you for these examples. Contour voice commands are much more comprehensive than I imagined! Volume Control Client In a previous post I described my system where the HDMI output of the client goes directly to a ViewSonic monitor with the audio portion split off and sent to powered speakers. My previous setups (before Contour) allowed the remote to control the volume directly through the Cox box. I cannot seem to fine a way to do this with the Contour Client box since it seems to want to pair either to a TV or to an AV receiver. Is it possible to control the volume without pairing? Thank you, Ken Gash Re: Shutdown Contour 2 Client. Thank you Brian. The voice command works like a charm. Is there a list of useful voice commands available? Shutdown Contour 2 Client. I recently installed a Contour 2 box and a Contour 2 Client box. The Client box is attached to a ViewSonic video monitor and the audio out is sent to an amplifier. Everything works fine but with this setup I need to power down the Client to regain the use of the monitor for my PC. The only way (short of unplugging the box) to do this seems to require almost 20 clicks with the remote to get to the Shutdown command. The Cox Motorola receiver I replaced could be shut down with a single click of the remote. Is there any way to shortcut this process? Can one of the ABCD keys be set to do the shutdown? Thanks for any help. Ken Gash Re: Cannot Send with Thunderbird I found another email client that I installed then imported all settings from 2 TB accounts as POP3. All messages and contacts came over correctly and receiving email works just fine. As for outgoing, one of the accounts I installed worked perfectly but the other will not send and gives a strange error message. Also, I noted that the smtp port has been changed from 465 to 587. The program is called eM Client downloaded from emailclient.com/download. Re: Cannot Send with Thunderbird False Alarm! I contacted Cox support a second time and they now tell me that their outgoing server has gone down and they don't know when it will be up again. I guess this question is now resolved.
