Re: Another surround sound issue If your receiver has HDMI ports then you should change your configuration. You should run an HDMI cablefrom the cable box to the receiver HDMIinput. Then run another HDMI cable froma receiver HDMI output to the TV.This will fix it for you but you will always have to turn on all 3 devicesevery time you watch TV. No need for optical connection. Re: DVR Contour Playback Issues Ted, I have had that same problem occur about once or twice a month for the last 6 months or so. It occurrs when I try to playback a show recorded the night before. The error title is "DVR Network Unavailable" for some reason. The message says to callan 866 number and reference 2.1.2.7 when calling. I called today but Cox support had no suggestions.
