Set all the channels you want to see as a "Favorite" and then have the guide only show you your favorite channels, no more advertisements. Setting favorites will also allow you to streamline your guide. I happen to never rent a PPV, don't really like sports and don't watch shopping channels. Since I do not have these set as favorites, I never see these channels either! Re: Onscreen guide has Cox sponsored banners Not a fix, but a workaround. Mark all the channels you want to see in the guide as favorites, then have the guide only show favorites. Re: Issues with Sound cutting out for a couple seconds. was "not" the Cox equipment in my home, rather... Issues with Sound cutting out for a couple seconds. Hello, I have contacted support, had technicians out to the house, but the issue persists. Tech said that there was a problem in the neighborhood, but nothing has been done about it. Tired of waiting on the phone, or worse, with chat. Can anyone give a timeline when the "problem in the neighborhood" will be corrected? I am in the South River Oaks subdivision in Baton Rouge. On all the channels I watch, on both Contour boxes, sometimes the sound will just cut out of a couple of seconds, then come back. It's not my equipment as I can stream and watch DVDs/Blu-rays with no issues, and the tech stated that it was the Cox equipment in my home. Please help. Re: Yule Log Mac Man, I see there are choices for a fireplace and a yule log, but your are right, you have to be subscribed to Netflix or MusicChoice to get the yule log. There are some free things, but no yule log. Re: Why are my dvr recordings disappearing This is also happening to me. While I do understand that I do not "own" the recordings, and for the most part I already own the Bluray of the movie, I like to keep them on the DVR so I can make playlists. I've not contacted Cox about this, but now that I see your issues, maybe I will. Wish I had an answer, but if I hear anything, I will let you know. Re: Ugh... It's happening again... A/V sync issue. I did do the email suggested, and the issue is corrected now. But you are correct, why does this keep happening? I mean, it gets corrected quite quickly, but still... Re: Ugh... It's happening again... A/V sync issue. Hello, it's happening on both my boxes but not on the Contour App (I never thought of checking the app, thanks!), so it's not a Boomerang issue I'd guess. Previously, moderator BenS1 stated "I have sent through a soft signal which should refresh all of your channels but will not reboot your boxes." and that worked, I think. Ugh... It's happening again... A/V sync issue. I wrote about this a year ago and about 5 months ago. On Boomerang (Baton Rouge channel 224), for the last two or three days the sound has been ~2 seconds out of sync with the video (programs and commercials), just like it was the last two times. Again, I don't know if it's Boomerang or Cox that is having an issue, but you folks did a great job getting it fixed the last two times, and I hope you can work your magic again, thank you! It's so odd that I never see this on other channels! A/V out of sync again... brianm Hello Brian, it's happening again on Boomerang (Baton Rouge channel 224), for the last two or three days the sound has been about 1-2 seconds out of sync with the video (programs and commercials), just like it was about 7 months ago. Again, I don't know if it's Boomerang or Cox that is having an issue, but you did a great job getting it fixed the last time, and I hope you can work your magic again, thank you!
