I guess it just takes time for it to wake up after removing POE filters and restart and this is the level of COX cable quality to expect. Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge Yes, of course. It would not be working otherwise. Everyone just keeps repeating the same instructions. I've followed them. It's not that complicated to hook up cables to devices as instructed/required. I've tried/done everything possible and it did not work. It's obviously something else; SW/FW/HW. Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge Last attempted set up: 2-way splitter from wall coax, POE filter to TA and other to TiVo Bolt. As mentioned, I tried everything possible. The TA has RF IN/OUT, so I set it up both ways and neither one made a difference. Even when the POE filter was removed from here and only at the cable drop box/entry to house. Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge Yes, but as I understand it [MoCA] is also for internet access through coax, otherwise what is the point just sharing between devices (Wi-Fi to stream and MOCA to share? That makes no sense). Why else would I be able to use MoCA to access internet connection as I did? It just caused the loss of channel signals and doesn't work with POE filters as mentioned. Bizarre since this is how it's suppose to be set up/work. To reiterate, I read/followed all instructions (there's not much to it). I tried setting it up in two ways at Tuning Adapter/Tivo Bolt, replaced splitters and cables, and restarted ALL devices/connections multiple times. The issue has nothing to do with set up or connections. MoCA worked at first with just the TiVo Bridge set up, but with the loss of almost 40 channels. MoCA did not work with TiVo POE filters in place at cable drop-box/entry to house and at/before Tuning Adapter. Coax cable from wall to Tuning Adapter/TiVo Bolt was set up two ways (w/ and w/o POE filters at TA); - Coax from wall to TA then from TA RF Out to Tivo Bolt. - Coax from wall to 2-way splitter w/ one to TA and the other to TiVo Bolt. Again, neither set up worked w/ POE filter in place at TA. Note: Not sure it has to do with trying to set up MoCA/TiVo Bridge or POE filters, but a few channels have since stopped working that were working before. I think it's the CableCard and/or Tuning Adapter. Inherently flawed technology. FYI: I already returned the TiVo Bridge. Gave up on the idea of having MoCA. Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge Gave up. Nothing worked. I read/followed instructions and tried every conceivable set up w/ PoE filters, restarting everything multiple times w/ cable and network, also replacing splitters and cables, and MoCA would not work. With both PoE filters in place (at drop box/entry to house and at/before Tuning Adapter) MoCA had no connection/internet, and also no IP most times, and even if it did, it still did not work. I tried removing PoE filter at Tuning Adapter but no change. Funny how I lose almost 40 channel signals w/o PoE filters but MoCA works, yet w/ PoE filters in place as everyone/thing says to have, there's no loss of signals but MoCA doesn't work. Wi-Fi works. A complete waste of time and money. Hard to imagine no one else with similar problem too, yet no other replies. Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge Not sure which one is the incoming cable. Also, do you think the booster is/can cause issue with MoCA? And should I replace the splitters? They look rather old and are rated to 1000Mhz. TiVo Bridge/MoCA requires 1650MHz, even though it works, except for almost 40 channel signals being lost. I wonder how much it would cost to have COX Tech visit and replace splitters and cables at box from drop cable? Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge Finally worked... Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge The cable drop box is a mess and I can't figure out which one is the incoming line. Here's what I found: 1 x 4-way spliiter 1 x 2-way splitter 1 x booster I'm trying to insert more pictures but it won't upload after selecting with browser. Only one time. Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge Yes, I got that. But what about the Tuning Adapter installation instructions. My Tuning Adapter has In and Out. Does it matter if it’s daisy chained or split to TA and TiVo? What is SDV? i haven’t had a chance to inspect the cable TV entry box yet. There’s most likely an old splitter or two and maybe a signal booster. Re: MoCA Issues: 40 Channels Lost - Tivo Bolt & TiVo Bridge Does it matter that the coax cable is from wall>tuning adapter>tivo instead of from wall>splitter>TA/tivo as shown with TiVo’ Tuning Adapter Installation? https://support.tivo.com/articles/Features_Use/How-to-Install-a-Tuning-Adapter-for-Switched-Digital-Video i also realized that the USB cable needs to be connected to top input. Not sure what it affected if anything.
