And I was wrong you dont even see a light showing you are recording. which is also stupid. Literally every cable box ever had displays information and NOW you remove it How do we display the clock on the Countour box again Hello. I know there are way more important problems with these Countour DVR boxes but I have a question about these newer versions. I had to replace mine because of the mess with the box not powering up. So everything is set up but the clock display on the old one isn't there anymore. Is there a setting that we can put the clock back on the box? Or show the clock normally on the TV? I don't know whyafter having the clock on every single version it isn't shown now. I at least hope that we get the red light on when we are recording something like all previous versions. Re: Morning Boot Issue Well another day and another time that the cable box won't reboot. Although unlike most other days they are telling us that there is a service problem in my area that won't be fixed until around 10. That's a first. Not sure if that is the reason my cable box won't start up like usual or what. Re: Factory Reset EVERY night!?! Yeah it is happening to me again as well. About 2 weeks ago a "system update" took hours to complete. Their solution is always to unplug the box and restart. Well I put the system update back to it's normal time around 4 in the morning at that time I was doing pretty good. Sure enough this morning it is 6:30 and stuck in boot. Will get the same answers as usual which is unplug and plug Why are these Contour box updates so long? Hello. For the last week or two these updates to my cable box have lasted more than 30 minutes when you "claim" that is only 5 minutes long. The one this morning is still going at 45 minutes. I guess that is why the default time setting on it was around 4 in the morning so nobody will notice how slow it is. I changed to 6 but I am sure that it was messing with some of my DVR records. That was a huge mistake apparently. What is going on here Re: DVR deletes some programs on its own The only thing really in common is that they mostly recent ones. Like I lost all of my Nationals and NBA Playback recordings for the last 2 weeks. The only thing I can figure and I am just guessing is if you do a recording during the time of the daily reboot not only will you lose your current recording but a lot of stuff around it gets messed up. I tried changing my time to 4 - 6 in the morning and see if that helps. Re: DVR deletes some programs on its own Almost every morning I check my DVR if I lose a bunch of stuff just for no reason except that the DVR was rebooted and just deleted them for the hell of it. Last night I lost at least about 10% of my recordings. Possible to check NFL Redzone Channel subscription online Hello. Is there a way online to verify that I have my subscription to the NFL Redzone Channel? It takes forever to get a live chat person on a non technical issue. I have most of the sports packs but wasn't sure if Redzone is still something that is paid yearly like before Can we bring back the Missed Recordings option in Contour 2 Hello again. I don't know what happened but I lost all of my recordings last night. I know they were recording as I went to bed last night. This morning all gone except for the one thing after 11:00 PM. I have no idea why. Maybe there was an power outage last night with the bad weather. Maybe the EAS alert came on and it messes up recording. Is there any way to bring back the original "Missed Recordings" section that was on contour 1? Granted it won't actually save anything but at least I can see what got lost or deleted for some reason Re: Why does all DVR recordings start at the 30 second part? It seems to be happening on all the recordings that automatically don't put it at 1 minute early. As far a the time the time does seem to match the system time. Now who knows about the seconds on the DVR box
