ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Just downgraded to Ultimate Before the AARIS our set up was CISCO Modem/Phone > Netgear > Airport (We have had the Airport for several years, but purchased the new one about a year ago) On that set up we were getting between 50 and 125Mbps What I am thinking is since I have to have the Netgear for the bridge to the home security (it has to have a separate router), I will plug Airport into the AARIS (Since it has 4 LAN ports) instead of the Netgear eliminating the middle man and also replacing with the CAT6 cables Re: Just downgraded to Ultimate Sorry its a netgear router. Not sure what model the netgear is but I can find out when I get home. I have the Airport Connected to the Netgear. Since the AARIS has 4 LAN ports, I could plug the airport directly into that correct and that should solve not going thru the netgear switch? Just downgraded to Ultimate So I upgraded from the Premier to the Ultimate 2 nights ago and got the ARRIS TG2472 modem yesterday. I did several speed test last night and speeds were between 30Mbps and 50... my Premier was higher. Here is my set up. No Phone I have Cox Home Life So I have the ARRIS TG2472 (it has cable plugged into it directly from the wall), Ethernet Cable going to a NetGear Modem for the Home Security Ethernet Cable going from the Netgear to the newest Apple Airport I have had the current ethernet cables for about 8 years so I am assuming they are not the CAT6 cables, I am going to get those today, so maybe that might help, not sure. I have had a Cox Tech out several times within the last year for signal issues and they did a new drop, replaced all the cable in the house, new splitter, the works. and the signal according to cox is great. Cox last night reset my modem and I have. Not sure what more I can do than replace the Ethernet cables and also the going from the modem to the netgear to the Apple Airport shouldn't affect anything right? And I am unable to plug the Ethernet into any of our computers as they don't have Ethernet anymore Any ideas? New Contour Power Off Issue Had the new Contour installed about a week ago, but I noticed when I hit Power (all) on the remote, only my TV turns off and not the box itself.. The DVR is starting 4 min late because when I go to play the show it starts in during the episode instead of the beginning like normal. I am using the Grid to program these and they are all set up using the Series Recording (First runs only) Contour Recording Issue Got a question, for some reason shows are starting to record 4 minutes late. Its random shows at random times. Sometimes the same shows that record 4 minutes late one day won't the next. Has anyone had this issue and know how to resolve this. I don't want to call tech support because ill get the canned "unplug for 1 min"... then "well we will send a tech out" and of course the tech won't know and will want to replace my box.....
