I'm not looking forward to the 5G revolution. @WiderMouthOpen That's my guess. Re: Utility Markings 5G or Fiber They installed a fiber pedestal. It's ugly. Re: Utility Markings 5G or Fiber @Bruce I don't know if they're going to install a 5G data box and 5G tower. Picture of stupid hole http://imgur.com/a/mLByeXJ They're installing a 5G tower, less than 6 feet high. That's what a foreign workman said. The police officer that I called to my condo said the workmen are with AT&T. Re: Utility Markings 5G or Fiber Thecustomer support rep said Cox doesn't build cell towers and there are no tickets open currently in my area showing Cox performing any work. @Bruce I hope that's all it is. Telecommunications pedestal en.wikipedia.org/.../Telecommunications_pedestal I'm seeing many utility vehicles in my neighborhood. They recently installed smart meters on my condo building and I noticed a new box on the utility pole across the street. I guess the box is a smart meter relay device. Smart meter relay device www.thv11.com/.../91-611449096 I've read a number of news articles about 5G rollout in my parish, but I haven't seen any new cell towers yet. I've seen many powerline snowshoes. I guess those are fiber cables. Powerline snowshoes www.reddit.com/.../44c6cc Thanks for replies. Utility Markings 5G or Fiber Hi, I'm posting in the forum to ask a question regarding whether or not you might know the purpose of the utility markings spray painted on my property. There are red lines spray painted in my alley and backyard. I don't want a cell tower on my property. I live in Kenner, Louisiana. Ooma Telo VoIP Hi, I bought a new Ubee DDW365 from the Cox store in June 2015. The modem died recently during a thunderstorm. I rented a Panoramic TG1682 from the Cox store. It works fine, but I cannot get the Ooma Telo to work with the rented modem. Panoramic TG1682 www.cox.com/.../panoramic-wifi.html Ooma Telo support.ooma.com/.../ I tried using ethernet port 1 and 2. I tried using another ethernet cable. I tried disabling the cable modem firewall. I can browse the internet with ethernet port 1 or 2. The lights on the Ooma Telo are working correctly. I can hear the "off the hook" sound through the phone speaker. Any advice? Unfortunately, I do not have access to a second computer for testing. Connect Internet Other Room Hi, Here is how I am using Cox services. Kitchen: Cox TV Living Room: Cox TV Office: Cox Internet I am getting the office remodeled soon. Can I connect the computer in the living room without a service call? Re: Few channels are temporarily off air The tech fixed the problem. It was a bad trap. http://www.dslreports.com/faq/3380 No charge for the service call. Re: Few channels are temporarily off air The problem is NBC and PBS are two of my top three favorite channels. I'm thinking of canceling the TV service and going back to a digital antenna. Thanks for replies.
