This Cox reply aboutSimultaneous Ringing is over a year old. Please be advised that the severity of this issue for Cox customers has gotten worse. Kindly update this answer and let us know when Cox is going to be improving this abuse of their customers by any means. Thank you. Forum: Phone Forum Posted: 27 Oct 2016 Post Subject: RE: Simultaneous Ringing Post author: Becky Cox understands our customers’ frustrations about the increasing volume of robocalls. We are looking at the call-blocking technology options that are in the market and hope to know more in the near future.Re: I would like Cox Communication to protect me from ROBOCALLS Thank you for your response DustinP, but as Jon already mentioned, "Selective Call Acceptance and Selective Call Rejection are waytoolimited anddifficultto beeffective". There is no reason Cox computers could not block calls based on Phone ID OR (and this is important) Text displayed by request. Any call displaying "Unavailable" for example I should be able to block based on that. Or digits of All Zeros". It's not rocket science, it's giving the customers what they want. Re: Is it possible to block incoming numbers to my Cox phone? Cox's so called call rejection offering is anemic at best, way under powered and too expensive. Couple that with the fact that Cox has been unresponsive to concerns and suggestions posted here, I have elected to take Cox out of my solution. I bought a Panasonic KXTG6672 phone. It is a call answering machine and more. You can create a list of welcome callers and play a special ring tone for them. You can also create a rejection list. Since unfortunately, the phone doesn't have the caller ID with which to screen the call until the second ring, one ring gets through. But after that, it it's on your rejection list, the caller hears busy, and you hear quiet. I'm sure there are other phone offerings that work the same way. We are very happy with the Panasonic. Re: Out of Area calls Excellent question. Cox? Re: Is it possible to block incoming numbers to my Cox phone? Our home phone number, with the reduced effectiveness of the "Do Not Call" list, is subject to repeated abuse from multiple sources. All of which choose to ignore the law. That being said, the Selective Call Acceptance list feature sounds appealing. My ideal feature would allow specific numbers on the list to ring through, routing all others to recorded message, or busy, selectable by the customer. Why is the list restricted to a maximum of 31 numbers? In this day and age, there are way more than 31 number I would like to accept calls from. You should also be able to load the list from the web site. This sounds like it could be a nice feature and great problem solver for all the phone abuse that is currently going on. It's definately something I would buy. What's the deal? Thanks.
