Found the internet map with huge outage area. Interestingly my Internet and VOIP phone work but the icon in the tray says no internet access yetI obviously have since sent this. Modem light all normal. Re: On Gigiblast speed drops from 760Mbs on PC ethernet connected to 7-10Mbs after maybe a days use until reboot than high-speed returns? What irony - I just tried rebooting everything and had the modem kept rebooting and not locking in until about the 4th dry. Now back up and DL is 750Mbs but will monitor it over the next few days. Oddly enough a week or so ago a major Phoenix outage when I was replacing TIVO and was going crazy not being able to get it to work (On MOCA) till found out there was an outage. I rarely use a smartphone unless traveling... but think there is an outage map via web will look for. I am used to my five 28" monitors in front of me plus a TV and a big keyboard and mouse vs phones! Re: On Gigiblast speed drops from 760Mbs on PC ethernet connected to 7-10Mbs after maybe a days use until reboot than high-speed returns? Thanks - I have been up about 3 days without rebooting and I just tested on speedtest.net and the site you recommendedhttps://www.cox.com/residential/support/internet/speedtest.html Both were very close 63Mbs down and 64Mbs. Upload is always the expected about 35Mbs since not on fiber. As indicated if the reboot will go back up to about 700Mbs range. This is hardwired ethernet to the router on high end chip etc PC. Have CM1000 DOCSS 3.1 modem and latest Orbi MAZE router. For most of what I am doing really don't notice slowing speed unless it gets down to about 10Mbs - but nice to have close to the gigabit I am paying for. Just for fun, I redid the PC connection direct to the modem. Detected but no internet access so rebooted modem. OK, still same 68.6Mbs down direct to the modem, bypassing Router (and Gigabit switch I have since so many connections to devices.) But that should eliminate any issue with router etc yet still slow DL. Ping 10ms which seems fine. MB is ASUS PRIME Z370-A I did some Googling and didn't find any reports similar to mine with the MB. Since it starts out at about 700 but deteriorates over time is weird :( and frustrating! MB is rated for gigabytes I have 32GB of fast memory about 48% in use - 37% of used is Chrome since I understand does a poor job of releasing. Only have four tabs open in Chrome. Anything else I can check :( Re: Bought a new Tivo to replace old one. Can I use my old cable card in the new Tivo? I did going from a 2011 Romeo XLT toBolt+ with 3TB drive and six channels. However, the cox office has to change the host number. Had tech support stumped awhile and had to send tech out but it was a main office reset issue. Did not need to replace cable card or tuner. On Gigiblast speed drops from 760Mbs on PC ethernet connected to 7-10Mbs after maybe a days use until reboot than high-speed returns? The only clue from Router (Orbi MAZE) is DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-MAC=78:d2:94:60:dd: Re: Cox Advanced TV no lineup only contour doesn't match (Phoenix) That is helpful and I see on the channels I know I can get TIVO has an option saying view in HD.... but having other issues with cable card which am getting a tech out for. i.e. cannot go to 36 etc., the old SD equivalents,- get not authorized even though been getting them via 1036 etc for 20 years. Issue may be with old cable card and tech will come out tomorrow morning Re: Cox Advanced TV no lineup only contour doesn't match (Phoenix) But that link only shows contour accounts which I do not have. I have "Cox Advanced TV" Is that equivalent to some Contour acct and if so which one? That has been my confusion, no channel listing for my account Cox Advanced TV no lineup only contour doesn't match (Phoenix) I just had a 2011 Tivo Romeo 4XL go out (bad drive) and replaced with latest Bolt+ But have to redo all my zillions of selected programs to record and set up channels available. And I lost about 100 saved recorded programs you cannot recover :( When I go to my bill under it says "see channel selections". Which takes me to a guide with 5 choices, none of which are for advanced TV but are all Contour. In my account, it says it has 140 choices (plus I have a bunch of premium channels). I use none of the SD channels only those above 1000 and been with cox for over 20 years. The Contour listing that says 140 channels has none of the 1000 ranges. I simply need a current list of what channels I can get to set up so have in guide menu etc. I called Cox (all 4 support numbers were down as well as chat during the big Phoenix outage) but then their phones were back up. Support said advanced TV was the same as 140 on Contour. But then found noneof my 1000 range channelsare on the list (1036, 1063, 1062 I record daily and many others). Maybe Cox Advanced TV is the same as Contour Ultimate.but nothing seems to match. I have googled extensively and all the cox pages and others that come up with Cox Advanced TV are just all about Contour. All I want is a channel list of what my package includes :) Re: Billed for wiring A service call if it's not cox's fault is usually $75 at least in Phoenix and I believe its standard all over. I have a complicated system with two TIVO mini's, VOIP phone (not cox) security cameras etc and once they had to rewire all the way from my box to my home office opposite end of the house via the roof. Since the signal levels were bad coming into the modem they didn't charge me. They also once had to restring from pole to the house which they didn't charge me for. I've been with them 25+ years and 90% very happy other than having to be transferred many times and tech rep can't stay on line when sales dept has to change something. Re: Gigablast upload speed at 68.2 Mbps in the past one month. Is the an error? The $75 is the standard install fee to get fiber to the house but if already paid it and its a cox issue as it sounds like they should not charge another $75. Don't give up yet you should be getting the much higher speeds but there are various adjustments the cox repair person may have to make.I have had cox in Phoenix for about 25 years and adjustments at their box had to be made many times including redoing cables both inside and from the pole (long before Gigablast), attenuators etc. I have found the service folks (often contractors) mostly very sharp and willing to spend the time to solve the problem. Maybe just lucky being in Phoenix. It was confusing since on one of the last posts still talked about the C6300v2 which isn't for fiber nor even Gigablast via DOCSIS 3.1 since its older 3.0 - one of the best combos of modem/router for lower tiers but not Gigablast.
