Out of desperation, 'cause, Cox, cannot fix my problem, I have opened an external email account with Outlook.com.......I like it, so much better than Cox's email format. Q - when I send an email via Outlook account, the header on the receiving end reads, my email address from Cox.net....... Why is that? How can I fix that? Can I get any help here?????? Re: How can we resolve this Good Luck Mary...... What is dns? Similar issues here, with Cox.webmail. When I try to "send", and email, I get this: "this page cannot be displayed". Many times spent on the Tech Chat Call - they know nothing. They are "robotic", and "read", from a "script"....they are only guessing, and play the guessing game with Cox's clients. I would put on "hold", more times, than, I chatted, to fix my problem. I went on this so-called Internet Forum, and was told by Cox Tech's, they never heard of such a problem, and they didn't know how to fix my problem. You are right - Century Link is no worse, but isn't any better......be careful - I am looking for another server, but will not go with Century Link, or Cox....I am very limited, because of my location. Best of Luck. Re: Email Outage Update 8:30 am ET, December 17th Frankie - I'm so happy for you and all that can access their email........BUT I CANNOT!!!!! I cannot for the life of me figure out, why Cox IT people can't figure out my problem, and the message I continue to get, when I try to open my email, or when I was able to open my email, and attempt to "send", this message would come up::::::::: "THIS PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED"........ What's up with that Frankie....... I'm looking for a BETTER service......Haven't found one yet, but still looking. Somebody out their has to have some compassion for me and my email.... Love.....Cupcake...... Re: Provide a way for us to forward emails? Dear Lori - My brother has chastised me, for not going with gmail.com; Hotmail.com; or one of the more sophisticatedemail/internet service. He tells me to DROP COX....go with the Named Brands. Apparently COX is genericas can be. We livein the Southwest, andcan't access our COX email account. We get many error messages; i.e. "this page cannot be displayed"........that's only one of sickening error messages we get. Anyway, we recently opened an "outlook.com", email service. It's true, that COX, is my internet provider for the email service, and as soon as I can find a BETTER internet service,we will DROP Cox.......We pay through the wallet for aggravation, and here, we thought that America was FIRST in Technology. Our kids are running amok, wearing hoodies, wearing hats off tot he side, speaking or not speaking in tongues, that only they understand (Dawg); What! That's a whole other chapter in my book... Drop Cox - there are many other servers out there, that can do a better job.We intend too. Re: Email Outage Update 9 a.m. December 16 Cox service is paid by me. No one else. My entitlement, is to express an opinion, even if it's sad. Cox was set up in my home, by my daughter, as a favor to me. Little did we know, that we would have so much trouble with Cox. Never really worked well, from day one. Why do we stay, you ask.(NO-NO, this isn't a question). Most all their competitors, are the same, and their Customer Service, or IT Chat/Help Online Service sucks. We have no where else to go. We live in an area of limitations, for internet service/email. But, we have recently setup a Outlook email account, and so far so good......we hardly even think about Cox. The really sad factor here, is we pay through the wallet for service we can't even use.......hahahaha - Who's the fool now....... Break out the Mistletoe over the Derriere. Re: Cox Webmail and IE CHRIS - Me again - CUPCAKE - I'm trying very hard, not to DUMP COX; but every day it's the same old issue....., and my perception of COX, is they JUST DON'T GIVE A CARE......wanted to use more explicit. :>( CHRIS - was told by a friend who also has COX Email, that I should not being using COX WEBMAIL, as that is an option used for TRAVELERS..... ???? I didn't understand her comment, nor did I know that COX had anything but COX WEBMAIL. DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A DIFFERENC. Anyway, CHRIS - still having the same daily issue: "THIS PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED" ..... ????? :>( Very UNHAPPY - Re: Cox Webmail and IE Chris, this is the only PC in my home. I can't believe I have stumped Cox IT people. So, what are my options, to just live with this problem, and use the "refresh", key until it breaks. I do have a phone number of 855-cox-pchc, for IT issues. Will try given them a call, but I can almost bet they want $'s to check out my problem, even though this problem may be caused by Cox (only an assumption, and perception). Thanks. Re: Cox Webmail and IE Chris, still having the same issue noted above. Deleted temp internet files. Can't understand that my PC maybe the only one having this issue. Cox Webmail and IE Why do I get page notice, indicated by: "this page cannot be displayed", more often, than not. This happens when I am in Cox Webmail, and "click", on "send", when in "reply", mode. I have everything I know of. Some have said check the "automatically recover", box. Done - No Help. Cox Tech Chat, is "worthless" - they are very "robotic", and just don't seem to get it....all they tell me is to "delete", Cookies. Done - No Help. Can anyone help, please.
