ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Another HDHomeRun Prime CableCARD Authorization Troubles RESOLVED! I made a couple more calls to the CableCARD help number listed in the self-installation guide and a CSR was finally able to sort out the issue who is to be commended. I gave her the CableCARD ID, Host ID and Data ID for what must have been 5th time or more between the original technician and myself. Somehow the Data ID was still incorrect - it wasn't even close to the Data ID listed, it wasn't like it was one number off or something, totally wrong. I am guessing the Cox system had mixed info from the 1st CableCARD the service technician installed and the 2ndCableCARD he installed. I am glad I found this forum and I think it’s a great thing because it was my next route to get resolution, thank you Cox monitoring and responding. Another HDHomeRun Prime CableCARD Authorization Troubles I am experiencing the same issues as described in this forum post:http://forums.cox.com/forum_home/tv_forum/f/4/t/927.aspx The technician worked for 3 hours to resolve with no luck. Leaving me with no TV and offering no info on where to go from here. He just left. He said that I probably needed to get the HDHomeRun Prime turned on or authorized because "everything looks good on our side". There is no HDHomeRun Prime authorization! Later that night, I called the number on the self-install instruction sheet, because basically I have been left on my own,1-877-820-8202 http://media.cox.com/support/print_media/tv/equipment/user_guides/cable_box/CCI110069_CableCardInstallGuide_MotorollaCT2.pdf The CSR on the phone took the CableCARD information and refreshed the device. Whatever she did worked - sort of. I began to receive channels that were previously being blocked but I still have a number of channels that say "subscription required" which are clearly included in my programming. When I look at the log file of the CableCARD, via the HDHomeRun device, for the channels I cannot receive it shows 2 messages: 20121214-19:45:05 CableCARD: Tuner2: vchannel 1043 (519MHz-33743) access = subscribed 20121214-19:45:06 CableCARD: Tuner2: vchannel 1043 (519MHz-33743) access = not-subscribed 20121214-19:45:06 CableCARD: message: /get_cc_url?CableCARD///cp/auth It looks as if the card authorizes me then denies me?! This happens on other channels but not all. Of course its the channels i wish to watch. I have contacted SiliconDust and they advised that the messages indicate that it is an issue with Cox not unlocking the channels on the CableCARD. The HDHomeRun Prime is working and configured correctly, it would seem that the problem is somewhere between the CableCARD and COX authorization. There is a TA installed, I am in the Hampton Roads service area. Frustrated in HR, Chris Re: HDHomeRun Prime CableCARD Authorization Troubles I feel your pain - had same issues watching a Cox technician install the device - he left the house leaving me with no channels or tv and offered no path to resolution
