Re: Cox Data Usage Monitoring is Faulty Trikein said: BTW, I have seen post on these forums about connectivity issues on the modem some how causing inaccurate bandwidth measurements by Cox. Could you explain that a bit? How can one test for that? Uncorrectables? Does it show up in the modem logs? I was the one that came up with the theory. Unfortunately it cannot be tested for since Cox has decided to lock us out of the cable modem's SNMP interface. Re: Al-Jazeera The day Al-Jazeera is added is the day I drop my video service. Re: The Blaze TV The Blaze is one reason that I am seriously considering dropping Cox TV and moving to Business Class Internet only. I will stream everything that I want and give Cox less of my money. Re: Are the "discounts" really discounts?!? I love those "Fee for doing business with us." Re: Cox Data Usage Monitoring is Faulty Mine isn't right either. I got my router setup to monitor usage and Cox is over reporting by about 20%. I have to keep reminding myself of Hanlon's razor. "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." Re: Cox Data Usage Monitoring is Faulty I'm somebody!!!! Woohoo. So, I just got an email saying that I have gone over my 250gb limit but I don't trust the monitoring system so I feel like we are in a Mexican standoff. Re: New COX DVR Badly Designed I'll add in that I really wish that when you were fast forwarding and press the play button that the DVR would jump back a few seconds so that you actually get to where your show starts without having to manually rewind. Re: Cox Data Usage Monitoring is Faulty Digitalsmeg said: let's hope this update they roll out on the 5th fixes this. I would also like to know from a Moderator if this software update, which all but straight out admits there is a problem, also means that the notices I received are going to be expunged from my account. More interesting are the people that have upgraded because of this faulty monitoring system. They should all be getting refunds. Re: IPv6 Residential customer trials are planned for 2013.
