They refuse to lay more cable, a few of us even tried to complain to the FCC, but Cox just comes back at you with standard corporate lawyer trash, "It is acceptable enough, and works a "MAJORITY" of the time." The worst offender is anything traveling down like what, 1 of 2 cables, on the route to the regional AWS. Re: Severe packet loss (Upload) to amazon web services (Fortnite) - UPDATE 1/9 Yes, to Amazon. I tether my 4G phone and play on wi-fi when I want to play Battlefield V. Re: Severe packet loss (Upload) to amazon web services (Fortnite) - UPDATE 1/9 1 am, not even peak hours and I still have 27% packet loss average in game. Seriously about to drop Cox over this. Re: Severe packet loss (Upload) to amazon web services (Fortnite) - UPDATE 1/9 This problem also affects Battlefield 5, who also runs off AWS EC2. 3-5% packet loss ALL DAY, and as bad as 11% reported in game during peak traffic hours in the region. My tethered 4G LTE phone plays the game better than Cox which is sad but true.
