What is actually being shown is the East Coast feed of the main Showtime Channel. So the west feed is on 1240 and the east is on 1245. Showtime2 currently doesn't show up in HD. Is the guide going to be changed or is the channel that is airing on 1245 going to be changed? Thanks Re: Data Cap JonathanJ said: @ All, With our current Internet packages, the vast majority of our customers do not come close to exceeding their monthly data plans. If you do need more data, we are introducing additional data plans soon, including an Unlimited option. ◦New data plans will be available later this year. Options, pricing, and other details will be shared at that time. These plans will help the small percentage of heavy Internet users who routinely use more data than their Internet package includes, and would prefer a monthly rate rather than paying $10 for each additional 50 GB data block as needed. Or you can force a long long time customer like me to go to CenturyLink that offers 1Gb speed in my neighborhood for $25 less than what I am paying for Ultimate with Cox. That's 3 times the speed for less money and no cap. Good job Cox. Re: Data Cap I have been a customer of Cox since they arrived in the Phoenix area having been a customer of Dimension Cable. I have all the services they offer including home security and have a hefty bill that I pay on time each month. I also have a family of active internet users who do a lot of streaming so 1TB is blown by quite easily. Cox is going to be losing me as a customer with these caps. I am fortunate to live in an area where CenturyLink offers a 1Gb service for less than Cox's ultimate tier, which I am now on. Best of all, no caps. Re: !063 MSNBC Missing I am having the same issue. The tech who came today wasn't well trained in cable cards or tuning adapters and left with the tuning adapter box blinking and not working. I've reported the issue in dslreports and avs but Bryan said we should post it here as well. In Peoria, 85345. Re: House in new neighborhood How close were you to existing neighborhoods? My house is backed up to an existing neighborhood so I'm hoping that it won't take them a year. All the houses in my new neighborhood come prewired with Cat 5 and Coax. I would hate to think that Cox would prefer to just hand over likely buyers to Centurylink like that. My internet speed would drop from 150 to 40 at best, I would have to give up my Tivo service that I have had since 1999 (upgraded the box a few times but have had Tivo service continuously since then). Would not be happy to lose service for even a little while. Grrrrrrr. Re: House in new neighborhood In Peoria we have both Century Link and Cox and can choose either to provide phone, internet and television. I've been told by Cox that it is in the Cox service area. I just don't know when they are going to start building their infrastructure in the area as it seems that Century Link has already starting doing so. House in new neighborhood I'm having a house built in a new subdivision in Peoria, AZ. I'm still a couple of months from moving in but the house next to mine looks move in ready, so I would expect some initial work at least to be done for the area. There's a Century Link box in my front yard and I've see their trucks a few times in the neighborhood doing their installation work. The literature for the subdivision shows that Cox will be a provider for the neighborhood but when I've called Cox they show nothing and the promised call backs never occur. I've been a happy Cox customer and don't want to be pushed to Century Link because Cox is slow at getting stuff done. Is there any way I can find out if and when Cox service will be available in the area? Re: Speed difference between morning and evening is staggering Two techs came out and couldn't find the problem. Then this evening the speed was where it was supposed to be. Found out they were doing some maintenance in the area so whatever they did must have worked. Re: Speed difference between morning and evening is staggering Thanks for the info. I wish whoever I talked to when I called tech support would have been able to tell me that it was an issue. Speed difference between morning and evening is staggering I'm currently on the Ultimate Tier. If I do a speed test early in the morning, I get speeds in the 150-180 Mbps range. When I do the speed test in the evening, I get speeds in the 40-80 Mbps range and it's been getting worse. The signal to noise ratios and power levels are the same each time. It would seem that the bandwidth in my neighborhood is unable to support ultimate speeds during prime time. Is there anything that can be done to fix that? Solved
