The On Demand menu listing for the HGTV network is only displaying 4 show options - vs the usual 30+ shows in their line-up. This change happened approx 1 week ago. Two calls - and two reboots - later, the limited HGTV On Demand issue continues. Cox Kansas rep I spoke to via telephone was able to confirm seeing the same limited options (4) as I when she checked a local TV within her support site and confirmed this was not usual. Both Cox reps (Lousiana & Kansas) I’ve spoken to by phone in an effort to resolve this concern have suggested I wait to see if the problem resolves itself. After 1 week, I’m not putting any confidence in waiting as a problem solving option. Any suggestions on how I can get back to viewing current shows vs the limited four offerings? thank you in advance for any help/direction.
THANK YOU for looking into this. I finally feel like Cox is responding pro-actively to my complaint. The last Cox rep I spoke to by phone told me I had to call HGTV myself and gave me their #. This last recommendation - coupled with the previous "be patient and wait for it to fix itself" diagnosis - surely didn't make this 30+ year customer feel valued. I, too, tried to title search several of the HGTV shows with no success. I look forward to hearing your follow-up - but mostly to seeing this On Demand access issue fixed. Thank you again.
Checking back in on the status of the on-going request. As of today - I see that one episode (Fire Sale Fail to Dream of Windy City Rehab) has now been added. So wondering when the other two missing episodes will follow. Also, there is now the ability to see Restored by the Ford on the On Demand HGTV menu listing - but only a single, 15 minute segment entitled "Ford Family Holidays" is available - not all the newly - and previously - aired episodes of this current season. On April 3 a call to Cox Support resulted in a ticket (#7871632) being opened to check into my running inquiry. Acknowledging that some progress has been made - but wondering what is preventing having the full compliment of both HGTV shows available via On Demand. Is there another avenue to pursue that would produce results? thank you.
If the On Demand Team is still in the process of adding the additional episodes - it's curious that the one episode "Fire Sale Fail to Dream" of Windy City Rehab and the addition of the show Restored by the Fords to the menu line-up are gone now. Basically a step backwards from my update one day ago. Essentially, I'm back to seeking a resolution to my original inquiry of 25 days ago. Would appreciate an update on the status of ticket #7871632
Thank you! After 4 weeks, progress finally made on getting the 3 missing episodes of Windy City Rehab loaded onto the On Demand menu listing. Hoping for a similar outcome for the missing Restored by the Fords episodes. Acknowledging the success of making episodes 1,4 and 5 accessible, but would like to see the other previously aired shows of Restored b/t Fords made available within the On Demand menu as well. Hoping ticket #7871632 is still open as the reason for it's activation has yet to be resolved in full.
Per HGTV's web site, the missing episodes are: The Male Doily (episode 2), Hitting a Brick Wall (ep3), Storybook Cottage (ep7), Let There Be Light (ep 8), Steve Buys a House (ep 9), Colonial Turned Chic (ep 10). Since my note of two days ago, Old Bones, New Guts (ep 12) & Spanish Villa (ep 13) have been added BUT... the On Demand menu indicates viewing access will expire effective 4-19-19 - two days from now. YET the other episodes have a viewing date until 12/31/25. Perhaps this accounts for why some episodes show up and then disappear and are no longer accessible? Dunno - but several factors need to be looked into in order for customers to have access to previously aired shows.
So 8 days from my most recent inquiry re HGTV's Restored by the Fords missing episodes - and one month from my initial request for these to be available via On Demand - these shows continue to remain absent from the On Demand menu. Can anyone address the status of the related ticket (#7871632) and/or the "escalation" effort mentioned above? thank you
I have just re-checked on demand and it looks like everything but the first 4 episodes of season 2 are currently missing. ("S02 E01 · House of Lucky Charms" "S02 E02 · The Silence Between the Chords" "S02 E03 · The Male Doily" & "S02 E04 · Hitting a Brick Wall") It looks like the HGTV website has mislabeled the episode numbers/names for these. Episodes 5-9 are actually named as "S02 E05 · The Power of Paint" "S02 E06 · Take Down That Wall" "S02 E07 · High School Reunion Renovation" "S02 E08 · Spanish Villa" & "S02 E09 · Old Bones, New Guts", these episodes seem to be showing up as normal. These are how they are listed on our Contour 2 system and I double checked on a Google search and these are the actual episode names/order. I am not certain at this time if episodes 1-4 are missing by design as the network may only let us keep these episodes under on demand for a certain period of time. I am going to submit another ticket to see if that is the case or if we are truly missing them and need to have them re-added. That other ticket that you are referencing was not put in the system correctly and Maria notated that on the ticket as well. That is why we have had to create our own separate tickets. We will let you know the outcome once we hear anything back.
