It seems that there are more instances of commercials being cut off after a couple of seconds and replaced by another commercial.

1) Is it becoming more common for commercials to be cut off after a couple of seconds and 'replaced' by another one?

2) Is there a rational, evidence-backed reason for this practice?

    Hi Mikejf57. I can understand this can be frustrating and I notice this myself. We only stream the content we are given by the Broadcasters. We are not the creaters of the content and we have no way to change what we are given, even if it has an issue like the one you are experiencing. - Lisa - Cox Support Forums Moderator
