Cox planning on dropping a Mobile, AL , TV station. WHY ??

My location is Pensacola, Fl...just saw a scrolling message on a station , WKRG-tv , in Mobile, Al that Cox was going to terminate carrying it , thus losing some of the better programs that are available on the local Cox service. Any reason why ??

The network is demanding more money than Cox is willing to pay, knowing that forcing them to increase rates will lead to even more customers dropping services.  (I know that if Cox acquiesces to ESPN even one more time to pay for junk like 24/7 coverage of people yelling at each other and the channel with nothing but a g.d. spinning SEC logo I'm out. Not blackmailing heavy traffic web sites like Netflix only earns so much goodwill.)  In the end, they will meet in the middle and you'll pay a little more each month.

thanks for the reply.... yea, I called Cox and they basically said the same thing. Hopefully, they will "meet in the middle".
