Contour, Simpson's schedule 30 min, scheduled shows 2 hours

I have The Simpson's set up to record start and stop on time new episodes and when I look at it on the schedule that's what it shows.  But when I view it in scheduled and what it actually does it record for 2 hours.  I've deleted it and tried again and it does the same thing?

Contacted Cox and they had me do a reset of my contour box but the problem still persists.

Hi JRkc89, that's truly odd. Prior to setting up the series recording for The Simpsons, did you highlight and select a new Simpsons episode using the Guide, or did you use the voice remote to search for "The Simpsons"? I ask because we have seen some recording oddities when using the voice search feature. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator

I chose a new episode from the schedule and selected to record all new episodes start and end on time.

Hi JRkc89, I was able to duplicate your experience. The test recording I scheduled for last night's 30-minute episode of The Simpsons recorded for 118 minutes. Also, the scheduled recording for next week's episode of The Simpsons displays as if I scheduled a 2-hour recording from 8pm - 10pm (instead of 8pm - 8:30pm). I believe this is related to the Auto Pad feature not working correctly (Settings --> Preferences --> General). Auto Pad is supposed to add one minute at the beginning of the recording and 3 minutes at the end. However, a teammate told me that she records new episodes of “60 Minutes” on Sunday evenings on CBS, and Contour 2 adds a full hour to the recording when Auto Pad is enabled.
When I originally set up the series recording for The Simpsons, the Auto Pad setting was turned ON. I changed Auto Pad to OFF, deleted the series recording of The Simpsons, and then set up a new series recording for new Simpsons episodes on Sunday nights. To my dismay, the recording scheduled for next week's episode of The Simpsons still displays as if I scheduled a 2-hour recording from 8pm - 10pm. I can’t explain what is happening; however, I have submitted a ticket to our video specialists to investigate this further. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! I’ll let you know as soon as I have more information. -Becky, Cox Support Forums Moderator
