Contour DVR & Samsung TV have Intermittant Audio for all live, pre-recorded & Netflix shows

Have a new Contour box on a new Samsung TV connected via HDMI cable that has intermittent audio with sound dropping out for from several seconds to several minutes at a time, on all channels and all modes of viewing (live, recorded, On Demand & Netflix).  Neither resetting nor replacing the Contour box has resolved the issue. Help!

  • Does this happen on any other devices connected to the TV? (dvd, bluray, etc.) If not, you may want to connect a different HDMI cord to the cable box and see if it still happens. If so, it sounds like there may be a signal issue and will need to have a technician out to investigate further.
