Is it ok to use the power saver feature when not using the cable until the next night, when I leave on the box & then use it the next night it's pretty slow at 1st & I have to change channels for it to start working good again, I think someone at cox said to never use the power saver then what is it used for? Also I still have an issue with slow remote respond time which I am waiting & trying to make a video of this the next time it happens, especially getting stuck in fast forward. I am starting to think it's a ventilation issue since my box is surrounded by wood compartment 3 or 4 inches from it on either side. can this cause issues? My older box actually was bigger & I had issues too.
nothing spilled on them we got new remotes a couple weeks ago. The box always feels warm, not sure if it gets extra hot, I will try & move it out of that spot to test & see if it works better. last night no issues even though I didn't use it for as long as usual.
I haven’t had a chance to record a video for being stuck in fast forward but last night I noticed after time went by it started getting sluggish and then nothing happened when I hit pause or fast forward or channel up. Then I used the remote instructions to clear, unpair then pair and it started working again without being sluggish doing things in the dvr. Not sure if that fixed it or it fixed itself before I did that to the remote. Just doing anything in the dvr and going through the list of shows on the dvr and a little sluggish with remote commands that is what was sluggish after 3-4 hours.
