I'm not sure why but with my Contour TV there is no TV Caller ID.  Anyone else have the same issue?

How do you make the on-screen guide full screen?

    Hey Spencenvickie,

Is this happening on all TV's in the home? Does the Caller ID on the phone work?

On Contour 2, I have caller ID visible on all TVs (upper right), but something has recently changed with the 'notifications' function and you can no longer pull up the caller ID history as in the past (both Contour 2, and non-Contour going to channel 1995 (or 199 something, can't recall).  This seems to have coincided with a late June/early July, 2017 firmware update when the left arrow on the remote used to bring up quick access to weather (and power saving),  now only brings up the notifications window and it's utterly useless -- I trust this was some sort of oversight as there is no value in that left arrow shortcut any longer .  PLEASE BRING BACK the left arrow to weather!!  Cox Support (after escalating) finally recognized this (late July) and indicated it was a known bug that was going to be fixed in an Aug update -- no such luck as of yet...

    Hello Lizardlick,

We can share your interest in seeing this feature made available and will share your feedback in the notifications and shortcuts.

Thanks, Dustin -- As mentioned, I called Support when first noticed, and after a few escalations, they verified this was a feature that was erroneously removed with a late June/July update.  I trust there is ample QA and version control that can see when (and more so, why) this feature/shortcut was removed -- with no notice to consumers, and no hint of the (now worthless) Notification area in any of the help.

Just another example of those making changes/decisions, not being intimately involved in the consumer user experience...

    Hi Lizardlick,

You can still access your call history using the Cox Connect app or via Phone Tools at http://phonetools.cox.com. Thanks for being a part of our Support Forums!

I couldn't agree more.  They really are clueless when it comes to customer care.

Yes, all tvs.  And after numerous calls regarding the issue, still no resolution.  I really think you guys should ask your customers which features they like before you start removing stuff.

Caller id works on all phones, but none of the tvs.  Can't Cox ask the people who made the update that took these two convenient functions away to put them back?  I just see many customers wondering the same thing.

yes....no notification on screen as call comes in now.....notification center now shows nothing except an occasional settings tip....seems like its dedicated to a 9 year old mentality....

    also.....since new contour boxes.....

    1-LOST  PIP....

2-LOST all TV notifications on screen and in notification center

3-LOST ability to press B to watch mini TV view in bottom right corner while in guide mode....

with all the contour box upgrades, and I say that term very very loosely....all you can do is record now!....that's it....no other interactive or connected function...except to see sports scores which hardly is exciting to most subscribers....as DISH and others upgrade to multi-picture view among many other capabilities.....COX has gone back to basic BASIC functions at best.

how can you have upgrades ...but actually have less functions?!

...looking into DISH now...or other satellite options.

does the cox moderator follow up on these issues and get back to anyone outside the forum?....than whats the point of this...

Excellent synopsis, and echos some of my complaints/frustrations.  Replacing the left nav to now bring up a useless notification area in lieu of what I found very useful (shortcut to weather), and the loss of pressing B for the mini TV view while navigating in the guide is most annoying.  After many calls into Cox Support and escalating, they did confirm the software "upgrade" broke these functions.  That was 2+ months ago, and subsequent calls indicated a release in Aug should address.  Likely telling me what I want to hear vs. reality, but still infuriating that folks are making these changes with no input from customers, and no advance notice to customers. What happened to the concept of release notes?  All this technology and they can't post useful information in an "About" screen to better promote what they call "upgrades" and more so, spark customer awareness?!?

There is a setting on the box to specify the update time window.  How about and ack that an update actually occurred, and more so, here's what changed...  Um, wouldn't that qualify as a notification?!?  Seems there is ample real-estate in an otherwise useless screen...  But I digress.  More evidence those making these changes are not customers that actually use the product on a daily basis.

And I truly hope there is a Cox Moderator that can do the right thing here and provide some relief -- Sadly, many folks seeking other opportunities out there...
