i have had 3 friends try to call forward me and they cannot do it/i tried from my cel to the house phone...no luck. anyone?
changing their phone to mine
Then that is not them forwarding you, that's them forwarding their own phone. So your saying that doesn't work? What happens when they try? Busy signal? Error message? Can they forward to other people's numbers? How about a Cox number like the number you call for support?
my brother who forwards his home phone to his business everyday for 20 years is forwarding his calls to me for a couple of days, it doesnt do anything (he says) anyway cox is clueless to it. i had another buddy try it and he had the same thing happen...but everything on my line is working...except receiving forwarded calls
Try calling your number. I wonder if your number is forwarded by mistake, and the system isn't allowing a forwarded number to be forwarded to. Or you could just dial *(astrick)73 from your Cox home phone. Then have him try the forward again.
Also, when did this start? Like when was the last time someone COULD forward their line to your Cox line? The reason I ask is because in some areas Cox is upgrading the phone system, and there have been a few quiks like no TV caller ID. I wonder if this is another one of them.
Cox touched on that, i have a feeling thats what it is...its a fairly new service to me. i did what you suggested and my call forwarding is off. this was the first attempts at forwarding to my phone.

Can you explain? Do you mean over the phone when you were ordering service? If so, please give detail. What we know on the service end is very sparce, so any info is good info.
actually, i called the tech support and they transfered me to three people. the last person had no idea why they could not forward to the line...they said everything on there side (my phone) was working proper, but yet another person could not forward their phone either...its an issue
No one has told Tier 1 about the new phone system. I bet it has something to do with Simultaneous Call Forwarding or Sim. Ring, which is required to work with the integrated NoMoRobo client. Not sure how or what they messed up, but boy did they if this is a national issue once Cox Voice rolls out. Thanks for bringing it to light.
in the mean time what can i do, i guess he can forward to my cel
