So why are we still getting daily telemarketer calls?
DId you get a bunch of robo calls previously? Sign up for any sites that have your phone like Monster.com or a moving site?
In general, the solution is NoMoRobo, which I hear is coming once Cox launches it's new phone platform. I think they need to wait to transition all users to the new type of phone modems (eMTA) before they can since the new system won't be compatible with the old phone hardware. Fingers crossed it;s a free/basic feature like CallerID.
It won't be free. Cox never does anything for free.

Not saying your wrong, but what choice do you have? If Cox is the bad guy, who is the Good guy? Comcast with their new throttling rule? Verizon who owns the FCC? ATT who is desperately just trying to stay alive? Sure, if you live some place blessed with Google Fiber or a local fiber provider, but other then that I see Cox as the slightly lesser of many evils. Heck, if you follow some of the news, Cox has been one of the few that has stood up for the customer like they did against the MPA.
We all have other options. Do you work for them or have an interest in them? I don't know of any one that has as much positive opinion on them than you do. We all know what Cox is. Its odd that you are praising Cox when someone says they want out and have bad experiences, you don't seem supportive at all. Not sure why this conversation is that much to you that you respond immediately.

NO! If anything, I am kind of mad at Cox right now after my Cox email account was hacked. Don't even get me started.

That seriously all you wanted? Just someone random to agree with you and yell "Arrrg, Cox is bad"? I thought this post was about telemarkers. Seems more like you just wanted to rant and your not understanding some of us here are more rational. Your free to say what ever you want, as long as your willing to accept others can also say what THEY want. :-)

Well, if you have other options, how is Cox a Monopoly then? Also, yes you have options, but can you tell me of one(a ISP) that isn't focused on the bottom line?
But more on topic, I assume all the basic stuff has been tried? DoNotCall.gov? Unplug the phone for a few days? In general, I agree telemarketers are annoying and I wish Cox could of upgraded long ago, but atleast now there is hope.
The original question was for Cox. Not someone who decided that they didn't likemy statement and decided to deride someone else for them having a problem with a service. If you are as rational as you've stated, move on. Obviously if you believe you have a different viewpoint, start your own thread. Why bother to keep commenting if you think someone is irrational? That's how others can say what they want without belittling others and those who agree with them can go on their own area. I daresay most Democrats wouldn't appreciate a Republican chewing them at their organizational meetings.
Please go check and find your own options, as I have. Since you didn't ask the questions up front, it is clear you don't want an answer to them after the way you've treated me, called me "ranting" and then making a few other comments.

Done. Bye. :-) I will focus on helping people. You can focus on complaining.
