Boy can I second that. Every day I have to go through my voice mail and delete them. Its a real pain.
I don't answer the phone anymore unless I recognize the caller id. My cell phone has a free call blocker.
This is getting out of control. The Do Not Call List on line is useless. I get more calls now than ever.
I hope COX can come up with some free technology to control it.
I just received a phone call yesterday from COX telling me my area is due for this upgrade this coming July. I assume this is a no charge fix by COX?
What area are you in? July is my birthday, so that would be perfect!

Woooohoo! Thank you for the Birthday present Cox! Now I just have to talk my significant other into waiting that long. Any word if it will require any special equipment or install? That question is to both you and any moderator.
That page says a install is required. Is that set in stone? Do they need to swap the modem out? I guess it doesn't matter to me, since I don't think they do phone self installs in RI, but I am sure others already have eMTA. Shouldn't it just require a software change? Why do you need the tech?
Can you schedule the appointment for update on line through www.cox.com/updatemyphone? It just takes me to My Account with no hint as to how to schedule an appointment. I'd rather not call in as that is always a VERY long wait to talk to someone.
But what if they have a eMTA already? What is needed if you already have Cox Digital Telephone (CDT-PS) and upgrading to Cox Voice(CV)?
