Why have my charges increased twice over the past year while my level of service has decreased. I have had more frequent disconnects and slower transmission speeds as measured by speedtest.net over the same period of time. How do you justify these price increases?

same here. I've reset my modem, router, replaced cable splitter with a better quality one. cleaned up my PC. there has to be an issue with the cable line coming off the service pole. i don't know why they dont run cable underground in this part of town. i used to never have internet connection fluctuate so badly until the last 10 months.
Why oh Why has my bill increased $5.00 this month? Did I miss the memo of price increase. There seems to be a steady increase every month and I have only had the service 5 months!

Come on I keep canceling services with you guys every time you increase fees for EXISTING CUSTOMERS!

I'd rather try out Century Link than deal with a company that doesn't seem to care about customer retention.
Someone running your company needs to stop being so dumb.
Better yet, dumb people need to stop paying you these ridiculous fees.
You should flip to Centrylink for a 3 to 6 month period, then back to Cox. You need to be off of their system long enough to get the promo price. Or you have to be ready to switch and the retention dept can cut a better deal. At least they did at qwest.

Seems like Cox should be required to give a notice of a price increase. I just checked on bill on-line and see that it has increased as well, without notice. I looked at my bill last month and did not see any info regarding an upcoming internet increase as well as cable television increase. I have to reset my modem two to three times a day ... the quality of service is not worthy of a price increase! I am tired of having every company - gas, electric, water and now cable, being able to increase our rates whenever the wind blows. This is nonsense!
I was flipping through my March bills and I came across this little surprise. At first I thought it was a mistaken late fee but I see that it's just a good old-fashioned price increase. A month or two after I established my service back in early 2011 I received a letter mentioning a forthcoming $3 increase, this time it's a $4 increase and was snuck in without notice.
When the service is working properly it's terrific, low latency and high speeds but I also have to tolerate one or two outages a month and regular slow-downs during peak hours. Century Link has been sending me promos every month, now might be the time to switch and try out their 40mbps service for $50 a month! (My Cox service is now $54 for 18mbps*.)

Why can't Cox just reduce existing customer price packages as they offer new customers promotional pricing? And what is Century Link? Why do I always have to chase after price reductions? I think I have Cox Customer Retention on my speed dial. I think my internet speed is slow and should have Cox fastest speed as a Cox good will for being a long term customer. im wondering why my internet was turned off on the 13th (today) when my bill is due on the 17th. also, what's up with the $20 reactivation fee? why charge $20 for simply pushing a button to reactivate internet?
