For the past few days I haven't been able to log into webmail. I have tried from several computers and from my home internet connection and from an outside connection. When I put in my user name and password it consistently takes me to intercept.cox.com and asks me if to identify my location to see what services are available in my area. I even tried to identify my location but that doesn't take me to webmail either. since I eliminate spam before downloading mail, not having access creates one problem. Not being able to get to my mail when I'm not at home is another problem. I haven't forgotten or entered my user name and password incorrectly - used them both to get here, and my email still downloads correctly. I have been using webmail to access my email here for more years than I can remember. At least 8 and possibly as many as 12 years. What is going on?

I would suggest trying to reset all of your browser's settings to default, clearing cookies, ensure you have cookies enabled and make sure you're not using any web accelerators and try again. You'll get redirected to the location page if cookies are blocked for any reason.

That is exactly where I have the problem. When I log in I am taken to the Choose your location page. If I choose my state, then wait and choose my city, I can get to the Cox Portal page. My login works from there. I prefer to avoid the Cox portal page since it's entirely irrelevant to me almost as much as I prefer to avoid clicking on 7 random links to get to the place where I can log in to the email I am paying a premium for instead of typing the url for the webmail login and filling in my user name and password. This has been working for the past dozen or so years without fail.

Soooo... after several chats and phone conversations LAST WEEK. turning on turning off, I was told cox was working on it. WTF How long does it take to remove the link?? My 6th grader could fix it. I can see that cox is not going to fix this issue it is obviously a user issue as no one else seems to be having any problems. Good thing I have Yahoo mail.

I would suggest trying to reset all of your browser's settings to default, clearing cookies, ensure you have cookies enabled and make sure you're not using any web accelerators and try again. You'll get redirected to the location page if cookies are blocked for any reason.

I'm having a similar problem. Here's the message I TRIED to send to cox from the email link on their support page (but it didn't recognize my email address):

It has been nearly 2 weeks since I alerted Cox about my webmail situation, and unless I'm the only one with the problem (which I doubt, because I saw at least one other reference online), I would expect it to be fixed or at least acknowledged by now. Here's the problem:

A different log-in window comes up which doesn't include a choice between classic and enhanced webmail. When I sign in, I'm directed to the Cox homepage where I have to then input my zipcode every single time (this used to be a one-time request), then I'm directed BACK to the log-in window where I have to log in yet again, but it only takes me to classic webmail, which doesn't have all of my email addresses. So, I'm wondering, have you changed the system and this is a glitch that I must somehow fix, or is this a new webmail system that I'm expected to get used to, or are these more technical difficulties related to Hurricane Sandy? Breaking the silence (e.g., broadcasting an email telling customers that you are aware of the problem and are working on it, etc.) on this would give me more confidence in Cox that they are working on it. I have been relentlessly courted by Verizon Fios, but have stayed with Cox because of customer service. You guys are dropping the ball on this one and don't be surprised if you start to lose customers. BY THE WAY, WHEN I JUST TRIED TO SEND THIS MESSAGE TO YOU, I RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE: "EMAIL SEEMS INCORRECT (CHECK @ AND 'S). WHAT IS GOING ON??

I am having the same problem. Two days ago I was FINALLY able to login to my webmail using Google Chrome. I usually login using Internet Explorer and the webmail.cox.net address. I called tech support today (for about the 8th time in 3 weeks) and was told that it was a problem with my copy of Internet Explorer (BS)!!! The technician told me to remove IE and reinstall it and that would fix the problem. What a joke!!! Everything was working fine BEFORE Cox decided to upgrade their webmail and NOW it is a problem with MY browser. I am really angry that Cox will not step forward and FIX THIS ISSUE!! Instead of taking responsibility for the mess they created they are NOW blaming me, THEIR CUSTOMER. I find it strange that even the level two support people I talked to about this issue NEVER BLAMED me for it. Needless to say I am not a happy customer and wanted everyone to know that Cox is NOT FIXING THE ISSUE THEY CREATED!!!

I started having the same problem when logging into my Secondary Account. This has been going on for a week. I log into webmail with my email address, password and when I click sign in, I get the Interceptor. I have to give my zip code,

sign in and I get taken back to web mail and have to sign in all over again. It happens every time. I am getting tired of doing this two times to get into my webmail. I do NOT have cookies blocked for Cox. What is going on?

I am also in VA and have only been using classic webmail. Here's what I get: I log in (name & password) and get the "Where's Your Location?" screen. I have found (in my case) that no matter WHAT city I click on, it then brings up my personal classic webmail. This isn't quite as traumatic as other people's hassles, but it is nevertheless ANNOYING to say the least. "ChrisL" advised me that if I didn't like the way that classic webmail was performing for me, I could use some other system to access my Cox-brand email. What a CROCK! When I signed up for this fabulous "bundle" 5.5 years ago, the 7 FREE EMAIL BOXES was part of the hype. Now, they don't seem to care a whit. Welcome to the New World ODOR (sic).
