Daily Outages

We are ten days into July and already my area has had full “unplanned” outages 8 of those days. The current outage will reportedly last for about 17 hours. At this rate, I can expect to receive less than a week of uninterrupted service for the month. I miss the days when all I had to complain about was the fact that my connection was only a quarter the advertised speed. At least then I had something. Maybe this is Cox’s way of getting people to stop complaining about their subpar speeds, I don’t know.

How is this acceptable? For what we pay for internet service, this is just egregious. Of course, I do live in an area of town in which AT&T U-verse isn’t available, leaving Cox as the only option. I wonder if maybe Cox knows they have a captive market here and don’t really care that their service is atrocious...
