Paying for 300mbps in Santa Barbara, only getting 30mbps

Brand new modem, brand new router rated to 1.2gbps. Paying for 300mbps, getting 30mbps. What gives cox? I think a refund credit is owed for this lackluster service

I myself was experiencing the same thing. My own trouble shooting I did a speed teed test with the LAN connection to compare with the wi-fi results. You need to compare your account data from the Cox wi-fi app to the Cox connect app, you have access to different features that you can't get from cox.com. wi-fi app showed devices that weren't connected but had connected previously, most were not mine,, ,, Neighbors WERE STEALING MY WIFI.  Yes they can NO matter what the reps say.  They insisted the router couldn't be hacked. But it can.
