Starting a few hours ago I notice my ping was unstable. I performed ping to google and notice that my speed was fine, but I had a package loss of a 50%. I tried resetting the router by pressing the reset button and also unpluging and plugging again the router. Nothing seemed to help.
I saw that other user got help on the same issue by posting pingplotter captures on this post: https://forums.cox.com/forum_home/internet_forum/f/internet-forum/17375/moderate-to-severe-packet-loss
I hope i can get helped the same way, here is my pingplotter capture.
I tried the troubleshooting, it didnt work. If any, it made it worse.
I already have an appointment for this Tuesday. Thanks for trying.
been having the same problem for years.
It looks as though its happening past the first hop for you which means its VERY likely that its not in the home but on the street.
GL getting it fixxed ever...ive had over 20 techs out and field elevation out 3-4 times
thats my net tonight....
That's what I have heard, that no tech will fix it. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but If Cox cant provide the service I am paying for, I will just cancel it and use my phone internet instead.
oh and also make sure you ask for reimbursement for the time you have been affected.
i cant wait to see my 2+ years of it....
