Panoramic Modem and Apple MacBook

Most connectivity works well with the new Panoramic modem/router.  The exception is how it interfaces with MacBook.  There are three issues that Cox needs to address: (1) It does not connect in the area each time the laptop is open (in other words, I have to manually select the network each and every time); (2) once connected, it often drops the connection (the connection just drops...then I have to reselect); and (3) even when connected and it shows on the wifi that it is connected, there is no wi-fi.  I have had tech support to the house and 'the wifi works great,' which is correct WHEN it is connected and none of the three issues above are present.  With my old equipment, prior to leasing, none of the three things occurred.  Can you elevate this to a specialist who knows how to solve this -- or upgrade your equipment.  Appreciated.
