Why do the recipients not receive my e-mail

i have recently have three people throughout the month who did not get my email... even though it says on my end that it was sent (not in my outbox). I also have one friend who says my email always goes to her junk mail. I  have no idea what is happening? Any ideas?

    It sounds like the spam filter on their end could be blocking it from coming through as it may be thinking the email is spam for some reason. Do they have Cox as their provider or something else?
