So everything in my home ( cell phones, laptop etc) gets awesome speeds, except for my 2 xbox 1s' . Anyone else having this issue?
Darren, is this still happening?? What city are you in?? Just asking because i am having the exact same issue. Thanks!
c5ride, this is still happening to me in Omaha, NE. I have been on several calls with Cox tech support and no difference. I have tried two different modems and routers. I have even bought a brand new xbox one x 2 days ago and I still have the same issue. I have bounced from gigablast back to ultimate with 300/30. on my X1X I can not get more than 1.7-3 Mbps on upload. I have even directly connected my xbox to my modem and seen no different in testing with Cox. I really want this fixed like everyone else.
Hi Mark, I am having the same issue, but it is ONLY our Xbox’s that are affected. No other device has this issue and as you can see from the rest of this thread, it’s not a router issue and going hardwired to the modem gets the same result. There is an issue with Cox and Xbox and NO ONE WILL LISTEN TO US!!!
I have the same issue here in San Diego. The time line is about the same (Oct. 2018). I have 2 Xbox Ones and 1 box OneX - All 3 have this issue of slow upload speeds averaging 4 to 6 MBPS directly connected to the Modem. I should be getting 30MBPS Up. I already tried 3 Modems (Netgear CM 600, Netgear CM1000 and the new Arris SB8200.
After more troubleshooting I can also reproduce this upload speed reduction intermittently/rarely on my laptop. I was actually able to get the upload speed reduction on my LapTop right in front of the Cox Field Supervisor Michelle [EDITED BY COX] by changing to Vegas. I was logged into my account while running the speed tests so Cox has the proof of these tests results. Also you can use the browser/ Microsoft Edge on your Xbox to take the speed test. By changing from phoenix to San Diego or Vegas as the server you can get an intermittent faster upload speed.
Cabling Issues found already by cox Tier 2 that created the service tickets for the cabling Techs.
After all of this Michelle [EDITED BY COX] from Cox sent me a letter saying that I go somewhere else if I don't like the upload speed, they are not going to fix it despite definitive test results from their own Tier 2 department.
There has to be something wrong. I have always had good upload speeds. I have always checked to verify due to previous Download speed issues that were resolved previously. Please check my case numbers and all the testing history.
If there is anyone at Cox that can help solve this issue I would be grateful.
Hi Becky,
I do not know those programs but am willing to try anything.
