Davidoo - states that Netgear R6300 AC 1750 works in the Phoenix area, using the 100 Mbps pkg. Can someone confirm that's the case. I want to purchase my own modem/router that is compatible w/ Cox Comm.
Didn't Davidoo confirm it? If nobody else in the Phoenix-area confirms, the Netgear C6300 and C6300BD are both listed as Cox Certified Cable Modems.
thank u, very helpful
FYI the R6300 is a router, not a modem/router combo. You can tell because it begins with a "R" for router. The router should be fast enough for 100Mbps, but the better question is can your modem handle the speed. I would suggest a 8x4 modem atleast for that speed to lessen congestion. The modem is the device with the coaxial connection on it.
I found Davidoo's contribution to post Netgear C6300 Firmeware [sic] Updates. Although Davidoo posted how to update the firmware of a/the router, the originator was referring to the firmware of the modem/router unit
I just assumed Manny's question referred to the C6300.
