Unable to send mail from outlook and unable to login to cox.com

I have been unable to send email with outlook from my cox accounts for weeks. In addition I cannot login to cox.com. I am getting the error Make sure you’ve got the right web address: https://idm.cox.com
Search for "">https://idm.cox.com" on Bing

I can login on my work computer when it is on my home network. I have called support. I have flushed dns. I have rebooted numerous times. I have quickly temporarily disabled avg anti virus. Is there any way at all to resolve this problem. Webmail works but really STINKS. I have multiple accounts and Outlook is a superior program.

  • Hi Ang11. The web address for Cox email is myemail.cox.net, which redirects to iidm.east.cox.net/.../myemail. What is the error message you are getting in Outlook? You may want to check your outgoing server to make sure it says use same settings as my incoming mail server under advanced settings, outgoing server settings. Also, make sure that the port number is set to 465 with SSL selected. You may need to re-type your password as well and save all of those settings. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
