Once again First and Last names were reset to XXXX (XXXX@cox.net). Also the timezone was reset to New York EST. us out Cox
This 3rd time in 3 months that these changes are made by the system (on all of my email accounts at cox).
Not to say that Copy/Paste is still broken in the "Compose" function.
Help us out Cox!!!!!!!!
Yes, if you set the editor to "Plain Text" you can paste into the message but you loose all formatting that the "HTML" setting would have provided (i.e. font color size underline, etc.)
Clearing cookies does not change anything. Tried on multiple browsers. Tier 2 Cox Tech support says the 3rd party provider of webmail is aware of it. Got a ticket number and was told to check in with them from time to time.
The other issue about resetting my name and timezone continues to happen every few months.
All my accounts were reset to first name XXX and last Name XXX where XXX is XXX@cox.net. Also Timezone in settings get set to NY EST.
Both Windows and MacOS in our home. Firefox, Chrome and Safari browsers.
This is a COX server issue that has occurred in the past. I've contacted COX support on this issue many times and their answers is "well just change it in your settings". DUUUH.
Yes, I can sign in to My Profile and change the incorrect first name, last name, and timezone. I have had to do this now 3 times for 3 of my cox email accounts. Some cox webmail process has corrupted the profile and resets the names and timezone.
Timezone is under Settings > Basic Settings >Time Zone in the new webmail. Did you mean outside of that?
Top right corner (cog wheel icon for settings) then in drop down choose 1st menu item "Setting". That page allows you to set your time zone.
Thanks Dawn, I also got that update from Tier 2 support with my ticket number. Hope for a fix soon. BTW, it's not just OS X its Windows, and Macs and most all browsers that refuse to accept a copy/paste into the HTML email content box.
