I have noticed an increase is spam email coming into my primary Cox account within the past few months and have forwarded many of them to Cox's spam report, but it keeps coming in under a variety of subject lines including, Crepe Erase, Liberty Mutual Insurance, EHarmony, ABC Shark Tank, Lark Wellness, Ringing Ears, Home Warranty Special, to name a few. The domains are obviously bogus so I'm curious as to why Cox's spam filters aren't picking them up prior to delivery and I'm wondering if others have seen a similar trend? I have received 72 of them since May 21st!!
Same here -- same spam senders. Outlook will stop them, but they get through to my phone. If I leave Outlook on all the time, they will disappear from my phone when Outlook syncs. I don't like to leave Outlook open on my PC all day. But it sounds like no one is going to solve this at the Cox end.
yes, colleen. the filters were rest. TO ZERO! and no, marking them as spam has not helped. it'll be a year in july since i started. nice try tho...
The moderators can only work within the system and tools provided to them, and in this case, those are broken. A technician is no good with broken tools so what can we expect out of them? It not like they can go in and press one button to revert email back to the old system. It was a massive undertaking to migrate to a new system, and even if they did go back to the old way, they would have all kinds of problems migrating people back. Heck, Cox doesn't even own the register of the Cox.net domain anymore. They sold or gave it away as part of the outsourcing.
