I am new to Cox services, and am seeking information relative to processes that cause e-mail delays inbound. My quest is to understand if this circumstance is something I must accept and adapt to for all emails.
Specifically the Following:
Received: from imap-backend-63.dovecot.iad.rs.oxcs.net (imap-backend-63.dovecot.iad.rs.oxcs.net [10.12.4.63])

Which clearly illustrates the delay between 2 internal cox_labeled servers.
Is this the 'normal way' cox rolls, delay_wise?
Could you explain what that header is for? Inbound from normal Gmail to Cox? Or is this a relay from your personal domain(using Gmail as MX) to a Cox email?
Here is, I hope, a better view of the hops.....

This isn't a big deal, I just wanted to know if this is 'normal', for cox-mail now that they appear to be using oxcs.net resources, and FWIW, that appears to be where the delay really is. It WOULD be helpful to know if this delay is consistent for all email transiting to oxcs.net hosts.

This isn't a big deal, just was trying to determine if this will be consistent between hops for any e-mail.
FWIW, it appears to be delaying between two servers with oxcs.net domain names. The new "E-mail Partner"?
Well sorry, I've tried twice to send an excerpt from the MX toolbox eval of the hops, and Cox forum accuses my post as being spam, perhaps B/C it's full of escapes, and graphics stuff, I dunno.
By Way of explanation, the data originally offered is an excerpt of the full hop list, I shortened it just to show the significant delay element in red. I note the domain name is actually oxcs.net, perhaps Cox's new "E-mail Partner? " The email progresses from a YH originator, through Cox to a forwarded (from Cox ) destination. The only significant delay is between these two oxcs.net hosts.
Not a big deal, just trying to figure out if I should plan for every e-mail to be delayed this way, going forward.
Thanks for your help!!
