I recenly just upgraded from 50 to 100 to 300. Knowing i needed a faster wifi router, i upgraded to a newer netgear ac1000 router (model R6080). Sadly, i'm still seeing a max speed of about 70-80Mb/s, although my upload speeds are at the advertised 30Mb/s. the modem i have is docsys 3.0
ProTip: Stay away from any DOCSIS 3.0 modem with 32 downstream tuners like the SB6190 and CM700.
Speaking of D3.0 modems on the list, anyone know what a Arris TM3482 is? When you click on it it brings you to the page for the TM3402, which is a D3.1 modem. Do they mean the TG3482, AKA the XB6 that Comcast uses? If so, why do they label it as a D3.0 modem, and further more, why do they say a D3.0 modem can handle Gigablast? So confused..but either way, don't buy it.
