Backup

The instructions say that I might need to download an applet the first time I access online backup. Windows security will not allow that site to be downloaded because there is no provider signature. Why is Cox asking me to download an applet that comes from an "unknown"source?  I've tried everything I can think of, but my OS is apparently more determined to block this site. Any ideas?
