I have to reset it when I wake up in the morning and then I reset it again when I get home from work. The wireless signal will go off and on by itself and the LAN connected laptop loses its internet connection. If I do not restart the modem at least 2 times a day it does not work. I can sit here and watch the wireless signal light disappear and then reappear 5 to 10 seconds later.  Anyone have ideas on how to have the internet consistently work?

In a last attempt, I ditched the Netgear CG3000D, bought a Motorola SB6141 modem and a Netgear Nighthawk 7000 router and installed them yesterday. Speed has been between 25 and 32 mb/s and I have not had to reset anything yet, also no wireless drops and I get a stronger signal.

Crossing my fingers but looks like it was just the CG3000D I bought from Cox, lesson learned on that.
